Yes I was very pleased and have no problem buying more stuff on retrolio

This game is great. Before I bought it, I wasn’t sure about how much I would like it because of the graphics and the total punch control feature. But I’m glad I have it. This game can keep you playing for hours. Decide what kind of boxer you want and become a superstar in Career Mode as you work your way up the rankings. Defend your title and unlock Trunks, Tattoos, Gloves, Gear, Entrance Effects, and more. Use the Training Camp to test your skills and to get the chance to increase your stats. Look over all of your Trophies and Belts in the Trophy Case. Play some Exhibition games, facing the greatest boxers in the world.Use many features to create the perfect boxer. Test him out with the new Total Punch Control feature. The graphics are great and the gameplay is loads of fun. There are some downsides, however. They include: the announcer (very annoying), no referees, no clinching, not enough game modes, and Career Mode is too short. These things do not get in the way. Try this game out and get ready for some exciting fights!

this is was a gift to another granson, he loves it and they all play it when all the boys are together

  5. Michael W Smalley

This is the best boxing game to come along in years, Electronic Arts has really outdone themselves on this one. The graphics are fantastic and the gameplay is fast and very smooth. There are the usual omissions in the available fighters Mike Tyson,George Foreman and Oscar Delahoya most notable. Other than that so far this game is well worth the time I spent anxiously waiting, kudos to EA for a job well done.

  6. Christopher J. Eblen

i love this game, yet at the same time i hate it. For the most part you are boxing normal boxers and its amazingly fun, but sometimes you come accross people like chris byrd who runs from you the entire time and blocks all your punches untill he runs your stamina low enough to drill you in the later rounds. IT [irritates] ME NO END. if i had more patience i would just throw jabs and straights to conserve stamina but im pretty much used to just straight up fighting to see who the better boxer is, not to see who can piss the other boxer off more. over all, however the two player is really fun and so is the create a boxer. it gets four stars because of how fun it CAN be.

Starting off, when you are intimately familiar with boxing, (having grown up with boxers, as the son of a trainer and trained/sparred with one of the licensed boxers in the game), you pretty much KNOW boxing. This game, with its control setup, is the first game that feels like getting in the ring on a console. From the first few hours of struggling with the format, (the right analog stick controls punching- pushing it upper-left throws a jab, upper right a straight right, to the left and curving towards the upper left is a hook, right then upper-right a right hook, and from bottom left to upper left is a left uppercut- the right has a match), its like learning how to use your hands as a boxer. And, once you get used to it, you’re ready to rumble. Some people say its hard, and there is a button for punch scheme- but this is frankly a cop-out.I do hope there is some expansion on certain aspects in the next game, (create-an-entourage mode, corner team, etc), but now, this is the best pound for pound boxing game ever- period.

  8. The Strange Psychedelic World Of songlife

Fight Night is a superior, thoughtfully made, very addictive game which shines in many aspects. Rather than get into those, which have already been covered by many people, I’ll mention suggestions to improve on the negative aspects for the next release. This may read as if I’m trashing the game, but in fact I love it and would like to see these small improvements made to make it even better.1) The rap ‘music’ is extremely obnoxious. It probably does reflect the “urban” tastes of some boxing fans, but rap is a thing you either love or hate, so it’s not a good idea to alienate so many people with it in a sports game. Thankfully, it can be turned off while boxing, but not before you suffer through P. Dummy’s noise when booting it up, every time. This is the worst thing about the game by far; blatant commercialism by EA that serves no purpose. Also, they need to lose Big Tigger as the announcer. This guy has no connection with boxing whatsoever; just another brainless rapper spewing dumb homeboy-isms in a failed attempt to make the game more appealing to teenagers. Get Jimmy Lennon or Michael Buffer to do it; even Larry Merchant would be better than Tigger (although I wouldn’t want to see Larry as a boxer!)2) The “special” punches are the heart of this game, but they’re essentially limited to the two that do fast and reliable damage: the lunging varieties. The rest take too long to execute. “Sledgehammer” and “home run” sound good, but your boxer will be hit with 10 punches by th.

Behind Mike Tyson’s PunchOut, this is the best boxing game I’ve ever played.

  10. Biggen

(…). I’m going to list the CONS to this game first because there aren’t many. It took me forever to get on to the Heavy Bag training, but after playing the game a while, I got pretty good at it. Tigger needs to go. My girlfriend asked if his voice was done by Chris Rock, which neither one of us can stand. I was like no, unfortunately, there is another guy in show business that sounds like Chris Rock, pity. It would have been better with real announcers. I like all the training except the Target Mitts. I just cannot get onto that part of it. If the view was from behind the boxer, it would be easier. One more thing I don’t like is the total Hip Hop soundtrack. I personally can’t stand Hip Hop and Rap, but can tolerate it because the game is sooo good. So, I just turn the music off. The last thing I don’t like is the ratings system. You can beat the crap out of one guy and the season ends. Then, come the next season, he is ranked higher than you and higher than HE was the previous season. What’s up there? Now, for the PROS!! Total Punch Control—love it!! They took something they learned from the Tiger Woods franchise and made it work with boxing. I love how you can super-fast hook and uppercut, although I think the jabs are a little slow. You can control the fighter in just about every aspect, from bobbing and weaving to counter punching. It makes the game ALOT more fun because it is so much more challenging than the pitiful Knockout Kings. The graphics are really good, I me.
