I was a little skeptical of the game after reading some of the reviews. But after playing the demo at the game store, I liked it enough to get it. The total control action takes some getting use to, but you can change it to regular button control instead of analog stick. Overall its a fun game.

This game tops every game made for PS2 so far. I bought knockout kings 2002 and I hated it. You couldn’t even throw body punches. So i went backwards to knockout kings 2001, but i didn’t like that game either. The graphics were poor, and the gameplay was slow. Also, THERE WAS NO CREATE BOXER MODE! Finally something great came out. This game has everything you need to be satisfied with boxing. The graphics are top notch and the gameplay is realistic. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because i’m kind of picky with games. Here’s just a few cons i found in the game.1. Not enough illegal moves (only headbutts)2. No referees in the ring3. Some of the knockdowns are silly looking4. No grapplingThat’s all i found so far, otherwise it’s a great game and i recommend it to everyone. Feel safe to buy it.

THIS GAME ROCKS. IT’S THE BEST BOXING GAME OUT THERE. BOXING STRATEGY IS ACTUALLY USED IN THIS ONE, IMAGINE THAT. I HOPE THEY CONTINUE WITH THIS TITLE. FLAWS; WHERE’S THE YOUNG TYSON? THERE’S CHRIS BYRD AND KEN NORTON THAT COULD HAVE BEEN LEFT OUT FOR PATTERSON AND IRON MIKE. THATS IT THOUGH. A MUST GET FOR YOUR EA SPORTS COLLECTION.

Best boxing experience…..Even better than later versions of the game. Love the hand speed in this game.

I like boxing as fare as watching it on tv and am a big fan although granted I am not a big boxing video game fan (I’ve only played Mike Tyson’s punchout for NES and Knockout Kings a few years back on the PS2) but if I were I am should I would say this is one of the better ones. I just got it today around 7pm and just had my first exhibition match against The Real Deal Holyfield and won (I’m so glad I won, I met Holyfield when I joined the Army and arrived at my first duty station. I asked for an autograph and he was all stuck up about it, so this was my only mode of retribution). I have to say I absolutely love it and am glad it is in my EA Sports collection. First off I love the total control with the right analog stick. Though I must confess it gets slippery after a while. it really makes for a realistic boxing match. The graphics and animation are awesome and let me give a personal "Thank YOU!" to whoever designed the ring girls. Oh my GOD, I know they are only pixels on my tv screen but they are real in my mind and that’s what counts when you’re up at 3 in the morning. The soundtrack is amazing. When you see the intro movie it’s playing "Victory" by Biggie and P. Diddy and it really gets you amped up. Plus most of the songs are krunk (read: Lil Jon, David Banner, Down south etc) so you hyped up even while doing other stuff like creating a boxer; which by the way is pretty deep. It’s easy to create a boxer that looks reasonably like you. T.

This game is RAW! Espically if you are a boxing fan like me! The punch control was a little hard to get used to but now its sweet! The online is pretty cool, just getting into that! But it has a fresh ranking system. Just wish it had David Tua in the game. The career mode is awesome also. look me up online at yahomie2. But this is by far the best boxing game ever put out! Thank you EA!

1. Great game!2. Rap music is insufferable! Get rid of it.3. Big Tigger needs a different venue — not boxing. Get a real announcer.4. Need more big-name boxers and women boxers.5. Rewards poor. Money is amassed with nothing worth spending it on. Perhaps, like EA sports football games (where special pennants can be played), rewards could add some extra points to skills depending on trunks, gloves, etc.6. Heavy bag is nearly impossible. More skill areas needed for training.7. The next verison should allow you to carry over your current boxer.8. Get rid of the rap music. I said that twice because that alone would keep me from buying a new version of this game.Love the game.

EA sports fight night 2004 is quite possibly the most enjoyable boxing game I have ever played, since Mke Tyson Punchout on the nintendo. The totat control punch system is simply stated awsome, the the graphics are unblievable and the KO’s are extremely ugly. The one qualm I have with this game is that it lacks some of the best boxers of all time and up to date: Buster Duglas, Joe Louis, Oscar Dela Hoya, David Tua etc… Other than the lack of classic house hold names this game has everything you could ask for in a boxing game. The AI is smarter than most of my friends and adapts faster too. I think that I am going to have the marbles and answer my own question with a stone cold hell yeah!!!!
