First off I’ll try to make this short and sweet. This game is superior to Round 3 in EVERY way… it’s also superior to all MMA games I’ve played including UFC undisputed 2009 AND 2010 which I own and have barely touched after getting this game. It’s made me understand why boxing’s called THE SWEET SCIENCE, literally… it’s rekindled my love of boxing… which had gone to MMA the last 15 years.Once you start to master this game, which takes observation, intunition and ability… it is incredibly rewarding!!!.. and the game is totally fair in that as you improve you will see the result… you will be the one bringing the hammer of the gods on just one punch to ANYONE, Ali, Tyson, Leonard, Robinson, etc… perfect punching, perfect timing… in facts It’s improved my hand eye coordination.THE SHORT FACTS ARE:-Character creation is great… you can REALLY make your guy for the way you wanna fight.-Licensed characters are plenty AND awesome, the likeness is AMAZING! both in look and in fight style.-Interfase Is the best I’ve ever seen in a sports game (that’s including Madden, MLB 2K, NBA live and UFC Undisputed series) it’s super intuitive and comfortable.-Legacy mode is well thought out, challenging and exciting… I’ve retired twice as the GOAT, with two different fighters because I enjoyed going through it so much.-VS. mode is better than anything out there… great fun and WAAAY WAY better than any fighting genre game (which I am a fan of, including DOA, Tekken, MK and Soul.

I was a big fan of Round 3. It was a revolution in gaming that really set the bar for next gen gaming. Round 4 is the same game only better. more realistic physics. much better graphics and a more elaborate career mode. this is a great game. i am not sure why there are so many negative reviews as this game seems to be getting industry wide thumbs up. is it perfect… no. but there is no doubt that is the the best boxing game i have ever played and may be the best fighting game.

This game is the closest thing out there to a real simulation and with the current updates, it keeps getting better..

I have to say -I’ve been looking forward to this game for a long time. It met my high expectations. There are many professional reviews for FNR3 and they all give high marks. Check them out. Or just buy the game and indulge yourself in electronic violence.ONE complaint (and it’s about the game’s violence).I wish you could see the damage you inflict upon your opponent. Totally sadistic I know. But hey – it’s a game about men beating upon each other. If you buy this game, you obviously have no problem with simulated violence. So I declare – more bloody visuals please!

Finally, I have found a fighting game that I’m addicted to. This game is fantastic on so many levels… where to begin…Legacy Mode – Hands down the best career mode in a fighting/sports game to date. Unlike UFC, your player gets older as the years go by (thank you). The detail put in to all of the statistics/rankings/fight history is truly amazing – not just your own stats, but ALL boxers in ALL weight classes. Creating/Downloading boxers and placing them in your Legacy Mode as an opponent is quite fun as well – I’ve been playing as Rocky Balboa, and I just beat Ivan Drago for the championship. I wish WWE Legends & even UFC had a career/legacy mode this in-depth & realistic – It has kept me entertained for days & days. I only have two minor critiques regarding Legacy Mode:1) In UFC, you have to manage your time by balancing training with publicity. It would have been nice to have your boxer attend autograph sessions, do TV interviews, etc. in order to boost his popularity (at the potential expense of training/performance).2) As the years go by, I wish I had the option of changing the hair style, adding tattoos & even changing the nickname of my boxer. You do get to change wardrobe & entrance music, but as the years go by, I’d like to see my George Foreman lose his hair & gain weight. Boxers age in statistical years, but not in appearance… that should change.Controls – I actually like the “Total Punch Control” system; although I do agree, you should have the option of usin.

This is a great game and a nice step for the series. It takes a little while to get used to the new feel of how the game is controlled and how it plays but it is great fun once you get used to it. Love it or hate it, this game is more of a step from a arcade style fighting to a more realistic style of boxing. My only complaint that has been consistent through most of the fight night games is that it is still far too effective to spam countless punches. It can be a serious challenge even for the experienced to not get knocked out by the inexperienced who just throw punches like crazy. On another note DO NOT ORDER THIS OR ANYTHING FROM retrolio that you can find anywhere else. I have had good luck with other companies that sell through retrolio but anything I have EVER ordered directly from a retrolio warehouse has taken too long to receive and has been nothing but a headache. I PRE ordered this game to receive it early or as soon as it came out because there are no proper game stores in my area. It took 33 days to receive my game. After 26 days of waiting I called retrolio and they said it must be lost so they sent me another that came in the mail in a few days. Then they sent me an email stating that if I didn’t return the copy that I NEVER RECEIVED in the first place that I would be charged $60 again. So I called them outraged and they assured me that it was a mistake email and that I would not be charged. Well guess what, a few days later my account is charged again. So I paid $120.
