I bought this for my friend and when I got it I tested it to make sure it works and I have to say it was in excellent condition with all parts and the screen was in great shape no missing bulbs. This is a perfect gift for gaming enthusiasts!

Back when this portable/handheld system was released, it was a big deal! Even despite it being black & white (gray scale) only display for the games. It still was great being able to switch out your favorite games. And play other favorites wherever you were. The port to play with a friend (system link) that had a Gameboy was great & innovative for it’s time! The headphone port was nice aswell…..The screen is not equipped with a light. So you couldn’t play this in the dark (though I believe a add-on was later released to help do that). Much like the NES, it had the standard button layout and D-pad (direction pad). The battery life was decent for the time. But it would feel like your x4 AA batteries would drain quick. That’s how it feels when you’re a hadcore gamer though! Many great games came out for this system. Some titles include: Tetris, Super Mario Land,Battletoads,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,Double Dragon,Street Fighter II,Mortal Kombat,NBA JAM,Jordan vs Bird,Blades Of Steel,Castlevania,Swamp Thing,Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes,X-Men,Batman,Spider-Man. I didn’t get one when they first came out. But la few years later would get one through trading stuff with a friend. Made the mistake of selling it, cause I got a Sega Game Gear (but should’ve kept both). However recently I found one @ a local game store called Trade A Game. Bought a little bit of my childhood back w/ the Gameboy & 7 games. Plan to get some more and have a decent library of games collected for it. The.

I got this for my dad for Christmas because he told me how he used to play the Game Boy and how much he loved it. So I sought for the perfect opportunity and here it was. It came in faster than expected, and it’s fully functional! It was a little dirty but I just polished it. Overall it’s in a very good condition! I’m well pleased.

Everyone knows what the original Game Boy is like. The shop was awesome managed to get it to me on time and I was able to give my mother the gift she really wanted. Keep up the good work.

After reading some of these reviews I was scepticle. But I ordered it anyway. I did not think this Gameboy would work. Today I got it in the mail. It came in a bubble wrapped shipping envelope, and in the envelope was a small white box. Inside the box was some newspaper, and there was my Gameboy. It was very well packaged and even had a plastic peel off screen cover on the screen. It works just as if I was back in 1989. Good sound, very little scratches, and a great working screen. plays old favorites like Metroid II, SuperMario land, Pokemon Red and Blue, Tetris, and many more. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a great Gameboy at an affordable price.

President George Bush Senior had one while he was in office, (I wouldn’t be surprised if junior had one too) so if the president of the United States had one of his own, there is no reason anyone else shouldn’t. For young gamers and older ones alike, there’s plenty in store. The game that began the Game Boy craze in ’89 was the one and only Tetris. That game is a cult classic for kids and adults. If Tetris isn’t enough, how about Pokémon? This system is where it all began, with Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow, and then Gold and Silver. (Crystal was exclusive to the Game Boy Color) Some other masterpieces in gaming are Super Mario Land, Kirby’s Dream Land, and Donkey Kong ’94. And you can only play them on this beast. This system. The most beautiful, bad*ss, easily recognizable most influential handheld game system of all time. Buy one. You will have no regrets whatsoever. Carry this around and people will look at you and say "You got a Game Boy? Awesome! I wish I had one!" And that is an awesome feeling.
