I’d been hyped about this game since I heard about it last august and pre-ordered it right away. It was released in Japan in 2014 so this is just the english version of it. The DLC that was released in Japan seem to be included in the game. I have played roughly 10 hours of the game so far and am nowhere near completing it.You may have heard that this is somewhat like monster hunter but don’t go thinking this is anything like the experience you had with monster hunter. I think more or less this is true. I find the targeting, movement, and abilities much easier and more intuitive to use. I do not use the circle pad pro for this (yet) BUT it is compatible with it.Features of the game:- You start as a freelancer job and unlock several after you complete the tutorial phase. You unlock more jobs later through various means.Pros:- A ton of stuff to do. You can get all (and multiple) of the available monsters to summon and fight with you, max out all 21 (or so?) jobs’ abilities and weapons, make all the stuff in the game, and lots more.- Online play, local co-op, and solo play. You can set up rooms detailing your objectives and gate it based on what content the other people have cleared so far.- You can leave the city hub without a quest just to gather items and kill monsters free-style.- The crystal surge system is pretty neat.- Your abilities can gain "mutations" that add special traits to them.Cons:- No 3D functionality (small con really, 3D gives me a headache sometimes!.

This is a pretty solid game, with plenty of familiar terms, items, monsters and concepts from all the other Final Fantasy games, just with a Monster Hunter type game play. The graphics aren’t the best, and for a Final Fantasy game the music is simply sub-par, but if you want a game you can play with others and enjoy the grinding nature of the game, it’s not a bad pick up.

  3. Lyncati

This game is a lot of fun. Definitely go read about how the game works so you know what to expect in terms of gameplay.

This game is a fun throwback to both Final Fantasy Tactics (in terms of character classes) and Monster Hunter (in terms of gameplay). It combines action RPG elements with a large quest system to provide plenty of stuff to do. While the graphics are a little primitive (given the 3ds’ limited capabilities), the music and sound are excellent and the art direction is typical SE quality. Perhaps where this game shines the most is the multiplayer, which is easy to set up with friends or pick-up groups. Played solo, it can get old pretty fast but playing with friends and going after challenging monsters together can be a really fun experience. Just be prepared to by a 3ds XL, as this game loves to use the top buttons and the standard 3ds is just too small for adult hands!

Good game to play on road trips or waiting for a dr appointment. Most mission can be accomplished in 5 to 10 min.

I’m very pleased with the service. Fast and easy. No problems!

    Good

It’s cute! Good for time wasting, but not very heavy plot-wise. It’s mostly a run around and murder monsters game.
