The game was in good condition and arrived in a timely manner. FFIV was just as good this time around as it was every other time I’ve played it. After Years was decent for a sequel. The story was a little vauge for me, but overall enjoyable.

I have always loved the Final Fantasy series even through its recent ups and downs. I play Final Fantasy Brave Exvius on my phone and was like let me go back and play some games that I missed. I have a PSP and decided to buy this and could not be any happier. There is so much in this game I can’t wait to beat it!

This is the ultimate version of Final Fantasy IV in my opinion. Great graphics, sound and gameplay. Plus the extra side quest are a plus. Could not get a better deal than this for $14 brand new. Anyone looking for old school Final Fantasy, look no further.

Now don’t get me wrong, they are both very good remakes. There are a few issues with each. In the PSP version, the magic defense glitch is fixed, so your magic defense totals from your equipment actually work (whereas in the DS version…). So now you won’t be getting one shot party death from Red Dragons and such. But the most glaring problem that I have with this version is the monster speeds. They are slow. Super slow. I found myself getting in two attacks per character before the enemies even hit once. And I fiddled with the settings, turning the ATB to active and bumping the battles speeds up and down but it made little difference. Later in the game it does seem that the enemies improve their speed, but your characters’ speed also increases greatly, so it’s a bit of a wash. It does tend to make random battles easier.But beyond that one little issue, the game is nearly perfect. With the addition of the After Years saga, this is a must own for any FFIV fan, and it’s one of the main reasons I bought a PSP (along with the Star Ocean remakes and Lunar remake). So let me tell you a little about why I love this remake.Unlike the more “3D” style of the DS FFIV, this is a faithful re-rendering of the original. Everything is presented in a top down perspective. The widescreen adds a nice bit of map area which is kind of nice. The graphics have been updated, but not so much that they detract from the experience and nostalgia. There are a few spots where the graphic.

This game includes a high resolution version of ff4, which includes all the extras from the GBA version, as well as an option for remixed music from the DS version. It also comes with a bonus chapter, as well as the complete After Years sequel.

This game drives me crazy because of all of its different releases, and I’ve played almost all of them. I had the "original" on the SNES, and was amazed. It was definitely great for its time and set a positive trend (mostly) for Final Fantasy up until 7. For those of us old enough to remember, we later received the revelation that a majority of the content of this game was cut, censored, or otherwise totally altered from its origin. Smash cut maybe a decade or so later and you get FF Anthonology on the Playstation conspicuously missing this game. Then Chrono Trigger and this game were released together and the missing features were returned, but the same wall-bangingly stupid dialogue remained and haunts this game to this day. Smash cut again some years later and we get this game on the Gameboy Advance, old features restored, new ones added, and dialogue tweaked. A solid improvement except for Video & Audio. Smash cut again and the game gets completely re-worked for the DS, but the art style just can’t be taken seriously. Super deformed, and terrible terrible artwork, but another re-worked dialogue and with voice overs and a new decant ability system!So where does this one fall? Well I’d say the Video and Audio is the best of all, but we’re missing the dialogue and voice overs + cut-scenes from the DS version, but the graphics are superior. The features of the Advance version are in place of the Decant ability.The advance gave all of the characters a kind o.

This port of Final Fantasy IV is amazing, not to mention the extra content with the after years, if you’ve never played the original on the Snes or the ports to Playstation, or the DS remake, either way I would highly recommend you get this

This game was purchase as a present for my son. He has spent many hours enjoying playing the game as well as great entertainment for him. I think he have all of the Final Fantasy video games.

I’ve been a Final Fantasy fan since FF1 was on the NES…This game brings back those memories! The updated graphics are definitely nice! I have FF2 on GBA and this game is 10x better.

You Spoony Bard lol ah FF has always been a classical fun RPG to play. I’ve always enjoyed RPG Games, especially Turn Based RPG’s. This Version of FF IV on the PSP is great. Gameplay has remained the same, graphics of the characters, towns, enemies are more detailed. Difficulty level is pretty mucj the same as the Original. Much much easier the The DS version, man even as a Veteran Gamer such as myself had few problems passing the DS FF IV version. This re – release is worth the buy. If your a true fan of the series. I give it 9 out of 10…
