I have always been a fan of The Final Fantasy Tactics games. They have never dissapointed me especially now in a time of gaming where I find dissapointment is all too commonplace when one looks at RPG and Tactic type games. When I fought my first battle of Final Fantasy Tactics A2:Grimore of the Rift I was hooked and couldn’t be happier about it. The story, characters and all the weapons and items you can equip and utilize are second to none.If you haven’t played one of these games before you will be comfortable and able to use everything at your disposal before, during and after battles with the ability of a “Final Fantasy Veteran” before you have a dozen battles under your belt.To touch on the games replay value for me… I’ll be happy to take it out,put it in my DSxl and play it again and again. In my opinion this is a very unique game that never seems to get old. I’ve played a game in the easy mode and a game in the hard mode both to the final victorious battle I’m now playing it a third time in hard mode. I’ve fought and won the last battle and the game allows you to continue playing the same game after the last official battle. Slowly but surely I am acquiring items I still need to learn all the abilites required to “Master” a characters job.The characters you choose to keep and use in your quests can master anywhere from four to twelve jobs each. My goal is to have all 24 of my characters become masters of all the jobs they can perform. If that is your goal.

It’s a turn-based tactical RPG. Still fun for an older game. With the little time I have to play it day-to-day, I’m sure this will last me a few years.

It is quite different than the original Final Fantasy Tactics, which I’ve been a fan of since it appeared on the original Playstation. I still find it to be quite enjoyable though, and very addictive. The storyline is much simpler, as it seems to be aimed toward a younger demographic. That doesn’t mean that the strategy is less complex though. I have always felt that turn-based strategy like this is best suited to handheld consoles, and this game is no exception. it’s a great game to pick up and play through a battle, even if you don’t have a lot of time. Quick Saves make this even better. There are a lot of abilities to learn and classes to unlock, so it has a lot to offer for those who are completionists. I hope that they will make more games in this series in the future, most likely on the 3ds.As a note, this game plays just fine on my New 3DS XL. You have to go back to the main menu to change brightness, which is an annoyance, but is true of all original DS games when played on the 3DS. If you are thinking you may want this game in the future, you may want to pick it up before it becomes harder to find (something that is becoming common with many RPGs and strategy games for the original DS.)

I love this game. It was way different from the gameboy advanced version but in better ways. This brought back so many memories of playing final fantasy as a child and I hope they remake these for newer consoles or hand helds

I bought this game having played the original Final Fantasy Tactics for playstation a long time ago and I assumed this would be more of the same. I was part right; the combat system is deep and complex. Graphically, the game’s animations are excellent. However, during combat you must sit and watch these same animations many times over. The animations combined with lots of menu interaction generally makes single battles take a very long time, around 15-30 minutes each. The worst part of this game however, is its story. I knew from the reviews I read that the story would be childish, but I thought that it would not be such a big deal. I didn’t realize just how infantile it was. If I had, I might not have bought it. The story must have literally been targeted to kids who just learned how to read, which is strange because most kids that age would probably have trouble learning the game’s complex combat system. I feel extremely silly at 26 years old having to click through it all. I would recommend watching a few movies of this game’s cutscenes to see just how relentlessly corny it is before you buy it. Aside from that it’s a good game.

this is a fun game that will devour hours of your life. it incorporates a new fighting style that makes you think before you strike. it is a lot of fun and is full of entertainment.

  7. Antonio Galván

Juego en perfecto estado de envió; cien por ciento recomendado.

  8. Red

It is a cool game, it is fun and it delivers. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because it is way too similar to Tactics Advance but with another story, and the current story isn’t that great either. But it has some cool races and jobs so that was good.

  9. Ben Lehbert

A great sequel to the GBA hit Final Fantasy Tactics Adcance. They kept a lot of the same mechanics as the first game but modified them slightly.A major down side for me is the lack/poor usage of the touch screen.

  10. Sparky

A definite worthwhile game for the DS. It is not as good as FF Tactics Advance, but I still enjoy it. I wish they’d come out with another one!
