Final Fantasy TA2 is a great game with many days of play in it. There is a 16-quest long story with many characters dropping in and out of your clan throughout. Yes the storyline is a bit forgettable but the game makes up by having 400 quests to complete. The game-play is amazing from the battles to the auctions to the scenery and background. The controls are good but not great. the stylus controls are awkward and take some getting used to – after using a command when you didn’t want to many times. Using the buttons is incredibly simple though the isometric view is bit confusing as to which way is “up”There are over 50 classes in 7 races for you to chose in between your clan of 24. Every class has its own skill set that makes it more powerful against one type of enemy. There are side quests that allow you to add special characters with jobs only they can use to your clan.Overall Final Fantasy TA2 is a great game with some awkward features.

Probably my favorite tactics game of all time, top 10 rpgs of all time, top 5 nintendo DS games of all time.

This is a great game I loved playing FFT for the Advance and FFT A2: Grimoire of the Rift hasn’t disapointed me. I really like that they added new races and classes for each race to give it a newer experience. The on thing that kind of makes it less appealing than the Advance game is the map system. You can’t see all the options of where you want to go, it also take time to go into an area on the map and out to another area. Other than that the game is what a FFT game should be like.

My first time to actually play after all these years should be exciting.

this is final fantasy tactics at its best. I wish they made a remake for android or iphone. endless fun and frustrating tactical play.

I couldn’t find my copy, but it’s still cheap here on retrolio, so I bought a second copy and primed it. Great game still. We need a new FFT!!

Its a fantastic game. I got it so I can play with my sister. I found the plot to be interesting and fun. I love this game. The quests and fun and inventive. The strategy involved makes the game exciting. I highly recommend this game. It holds true to the spirit of Final Fantasy.

I love this game! I’ve always been a fan of the FF: Tactics series, and this one does NOT disappoint I am pleased to say. There are several changes from FF:TA. If you break the Judge’s rule, you don’t immediately lose or anything – instead, you lose the ability to revive your characters in battle, and you also miss out on extra items that you get if you complete a level without breaking the law. The jobs and stats are changed up some – some jobs are missing and several are added, and are also somewhat different in some cases. The item system is VERY different; instead of unlocking new items as you progress through the story, you use ‘loot,’ items that you pick up from dead monsters/win from battles and quests, etc. – loot has no purpose except that you can use it at the bazaar to construct new weapons/armor/all other equipment. When you do this, you don’t get the equipment, either – you gain the ability to buy it henceforth. I kind of like it, though – it adds a bit of a random element. One other thing – recruiting is much more of a pain in the ass in this in my opinion. But, all flaws and inferior aspects when compared to the original FF:TA aside, this is a really great game that will keep you playing for hundreds of hours if you like this type of game. Enjoy! :)

If you enjoy turn-based strategy games with some RPG elements (such as character development/levelling) and a loose fantasy plotline story arc to tie it all in…then this game is for you!I can’t put it down since I bought it.PROS- The flexibility of being able to change jobs and manage your clans are a nice touch are some of my favorite things about the game.- I like the fact that you can save your game during a fight and come back it to it later…this makes this game fit my schedule perfectly.- The graphics are some of the nicest I have seen on the DS.Cons- The Law system can be a bit ridiculous at times to the point of making one (or more depending on your setup) of your clan members practically useless during the fight. I’m sure they put this feature in to keep everyone from spamming a certain class or set of skills…but the end result is a bit tedious sometimes. Not enough to make me not enjoy the game though…).

Makes me feel bad on how much 3ds boxes lost quality, awesome game and a classic… I enjoy it as much as the ps one classic one.
