It’s a challange game. It makes you have to think about strategy more then ever. There is no MP. Magic, regular, and abilitie attacks are all based off AP(Action Power). You only can have up to 5. If your low, you must use boost which then means you use a turn. Also you can’t choose which enemie to attack. It’s random. I would buy this game if you want a challange.

This latest DS Final Fantasy title plays much better than one might have inferred from simple previews. While it is not unreasonable to question such gameplay choices as auto-targeting, in practice it works quite well. Better yet, the overall gameplay is generally very challenging, perhaps surprisingly so given the cute art style. What makes the gameplay so solid is that every spell, armor, weapon, and “job” has identifiable impact on battle. Elemental defenses, weapon strength, available abilities (based on equipped “job”, in this game defined by unique types of hats)…all must be properly selected and carefully used in battle or you WILL be losing often. This positive is only slightly compromised by the fact that you may not be properly equipped to survive a boss battle given no foreknowledge of strengths and weaknesses…an issue related to the restrictive inventory system.Given 15 slots to use–including equipped spells–allows little room for cautionary/backup equipment carrying, never mind space to retain valuable new finds while traveling dungeons. However, this system too works better overall than it may sound. No equipment is ever taken for granted in this game as one will eyeball every stat to make sure it will be effective. And there is always a save point right before boss battles, while carrying the readily available “dragon wing” item allows instant transport back to the last town savepoint if appropriate.Speaking of towns, Four Heroes of Light has a char.

I check slickdeals daily and noticed there was a sexy deal on this game! I grabbed it for $15!! AT this price, I won’t complain anything. I played a bit and have to admit the graph is ‘Alrite’. But seems like this game is more focusing on the fun factor (which matter to me the most). Seems like I will love this game!UPDATE (After played it for a month):WOW! This game is FUN! It is very addictive, especially upgrading your crown with stones. This game is simple and has a very straightforward storyline. Yet, there are side quests you can do and additional secret crowns you can unlock. SE makes this game very easy to play intentionally. One of the thing I love most is the side quest. You can make EASY MONEY by doing the ‘open a counter at weapon shop’ quest. I save up easy $100k and enjoy buying all the weapons and magic. You can also checking this for the free walk-through. I always kill the boss in 2 to 3 rounds! White Magic (FAX) + Black MAgic (Mighty Magic) = WIN!>

I LOVE THIS GAMEI’ve only played it 3 or 4 times since I bought it, but each time it is a treat, and I just sink down into wherever I am sitting and get whisked away to a magical world of fantasy <3There is so much freedom! Even though you’re on a path and in a story, you can go wherever you want, whenever you want. I love going back and forth and everywhere that -I- want to go and when I want to do it. I can spend as long as I want doing things, and it really does feel like I’m in charge of my own adventure. :)Everything about this game is so inspiring to me. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite games. The music in this game stirs my brain and pokes at it in such an interesting way. It’s really enjoyable and I always find myself humming the tunes when I’m doing other things in real life, and I even wrote some fan-made lyrics to the main theme. It’s a great soundtrack. It’s not IN YOUR FACE memorable but it certainly is lovely. The graphics are so whimsical, they inspire me just as much as the music does. I think they work together very well. At night when I’m going to sleep I almost feel like I’m in that world… it’s amazing.I COMPLETELY RECOMMEND THIS GAME TO ANYONE WHO ENJOYS A GOOD, ENGAGING AND INVOLVING STORY-QUEST :)I suppose you should enjoy RPG’s, Leveling up and customizing your characters, surprises, making your own way in the world instead of being led by the hand, and you should have an open mind. It’s a terrific game, given the chance. <3

I’d almost say that FF is the wrong moniker for this game, especially comparing it to recent FF games. TBH, it is more like the Dragon Quest games, or the first few FFs. Truly Epic, Truly Awesome. Also, Bravely Default:Flying Fairy (this game’s spiritual sequel) is now slated for a western release!
