One of the few companies to use a 32GB card instead of making us download 1/2 or so of the game after we bought it.There’s a 3 or so GB patch, but the game is playable without the patch(may face more slowdowns or bugs).Graphics aren’t too bad, still a downgrade of course. If aliasing drives you nuts, probably wouldn’t reccomend dock. When docked, it’s like a very ambitious xbox 360 game(and low pc settings, sometimes seems lower in some areas. Not NPCs tho). Lighting is amazing, same with water, and weather in general. Still beautiful even if it can seem muddy and blurry at times. If played on a smallish tv/pc monitor it’s more bearable(for me) but I’m also fine with older graphics from last console/pc generations.Still the same witcher, just more portable than a laptop, and easy to pick up and put down. For those that haven’t played it, watch some gameplay online. Some dislike the combat, but it’s not as bad as some same. The spells, potions, devotions, and tools add much strategy to boss battles. And the main story and side quest stories are the best in any open world game.

First of all, if this is your first time playing the Witcher 3 and you have a hefty PC or an Xbox One or Playstation 4, I recommend that you experience it there first. That being said, this is the best port I’ve seen to the Nintendo Switch. Ever. All of the NPCs still exist throughout the map. The sound is still in perfect condition. All of the DLCs come with the game, too! That’s basically three games right there, considering the size of Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. And you know what’s the best part? The game DOES NOT LAG in Novigrad. That’s right. The Xbox and PS4 had a very hard time in that area on the map when the game first launched, as many may already know, but don’t worry! On the Nintendo Switch, the game never lagged once while I strolled around the busy and bustling streets of the free city of Novigrad. This port isn’t perfect, however. Some cutscenes do stutter a bit, and the graphics and draw distance (there’s frequent pop-in) aren’t nearly as good as on the PC or even the other consoles. There’s also a bit of a fuzziness to the entire game that’s mostly only noticeable in docked mode, but that’s probably because the resolution is only at 720p while docked and 540p when in handheld mode. That being said, the graphics ARE surprisingly good (and the character and creature models remain untouched by this port). I believe that if you have never played the other versions then you’ll probably be fine with it. After all, you get a MASSIVE game (I’m talking 200+ ho.

Love this game! Yes, there are some porting issues like loss of detail, depth of view, etc BUT… you can now take Assassin’s Creed III where ever you go! I travel and being able to take this with me without having to pack a console is priceless! Overall the game is awesome. Complete story line, no loss of open world environment- overall I highly recommend this game.Hopefully Ubisoft will port The first few titles as well in the future.

Ok first let’s all be real here- don’t compare this in term of graphics against ps4/xbone1/pc, if you go into this with that mindset, you would think it is an inferior port; however if this ur first time playing it, and want the versatility of on the go, it is an excellent port, all on a cart.FYI, I also have this game on o n GOG in my gaming pc and I can play it on pc at 1440p at the witcher3 default cap FPS(60fps) with everything on max except hairworks. So please don’t give me the “pc master race “ bs crap because I’m looking at this game with open mind and it’s versatility purpose. But if u already have this on other consoles and pc, you might want to skip this- for others with only a Nintendo switch, it is a definite purchase!

Best game for the switch on handheld, comes with stickers, a map and a booklet, for less than 60 dollars, puts every other games company to a shame.

I owned Witcher 3 for PS4 but since I’m a husband and father this is the only way I can really play while my wife uses the TV. Runs smoother than i expected and graphics are not terrible. Definitely a recommend buy.

Over 15 hours in this game on Switch, I LOVED IT! I’m not talking about the graphic, i’m talking about how it can be played on this portable device. Beautiful packaging which includes some nice goodies and a Thank You card. We need to see more packaging like this on the next games. Great job, CD Projekt RED, you outdid yourself!

Got this for my husband for christmas and he was stoked! I love that the creators care enough about their audiance to include all the little notes and the map even wishing you luck when you first start up the game (I’m one who adores when creators go the extra mile to make you smile!) And it’s a real honest to god game you can hold in your hand!! Not a digital copy!! You do need to update it, which is fine, but from what I hear dont play until it’s fully updated! As far as the game goes, super fun, huge range of enemies, pretty graphics (and I have high expectations for that) and best of all hilarious commentary from the NPCs, random and storyline alike! I like this game to the point that I’d rather watch him play it than play my own games! Great job witcher! Keep up the amazing work!

I’d like to start off by saying that this review was made before receiving any updates to the game. This is because I do not have access to the internet at my home currently. Any bugs that I mention might be fixed with updates.Pros:-Portable-excellent music-excellent voice acting-excellent world building-all on one cartridge-comes with physical extras-can play offlineCons:-Low frame rate (30 fps)-slightly unstable frame rate (drops below 30 fps often)-low res graphicsI highly recommend that you buy this game. It is astonishing how good of a port it is. It all comes on one cartridge, and is playable without any updates (although I would recommend updating it).I would suggest buying the physical version, as it comes with some extras that I found really cool. Specifically it comes with two stickers, a map, and a small pamphlet describing the world.I’ve not run in to many glitches, though there have been a few crashes. The worst glitch (and I use “worst” lightly) was during the quest “wild at heart”, when just as the quest was coming to a close the game time traveled backwards a minute or so and revived two characters that had just died. It wasn’t a big deal though, as I just killed them again. The low resolution and frame rate are to be expected when it comes to switch ports of games designed for superior hardware, and IMO it doesn’t distract much from the overall experience.Once again, I highly recommend buying this game.
