First of all, the game is amazing. I won’t be going into this because there are OODLES of reviews and critiques on the game itself. I will be talking about the technical issues that are a lot less than I expected from such a game on the switch. The first are the graphics. They have taken a hit but most of the really noticeable stuff is environment stuff which I’ve never taken to inspecting them closely so it didn’t really bother me. It’s mostly noticeable as you travel on your horse which admittedly is a common occurrence but never so bad that it worsened my experience. The characters and the cutscenes are absolutely GORGEOUS for a switch game that is this large.Bugs are an issue and I can’t speak to whether or not this is a switch specific thing or not so I’ll just describe my experiences here. Trees sometimes have an odd black box surrounding their entirety that flickers in and out (probably the invisible edges of the 3d model but I’m no expert), the stamina bar doesnt visually drain as you run on foot out of combat but you will still run out of stamina and have to restart running and such (it’s supposed to drain on running and jumping, just doesn’t show visually for some reason), some inventory/menu management hiccups that make things a little more annoying and cumbersome but nothing really too bad, and some pretty regular movement bugs while on the horse (not the pathfinding which has issues sometimes but occasionally when I go to turn on the joystick the controls are inve.

We all know this game is amazing. what really surprised me was the quality of this physical package with all the extra stuff bundled in it. No reason to get the virtual file, just buy this version and keep it as a collector

I’m amazed they were able to port this to the Switch.True, it’s not the best + smoothest way to play this game (graphic wise and some game crashes at times in major cities). But nonetheless – it’s still Witcher 3 – one of the best RPG games ever made (+ also included are the two DLC expansions which are both amazing stories themselves). The world in this game is mind-boggling large – and the atmosphere (esp. major cities like Novigrad and Toussant) feel so lively and realistic (Novigrad reminds me of King’s Landing from GoT & Toussant like medieval Spain).Deep quest/story lines, epic gear to find, an in-depth skill system to mix-and-match, a massive world to explore , and huge monsters to hunt – what more can you ask for?I bought this port the day it came out for my Switch (I haven’t played this game since 2016 on my PC) and just now finally beat everything; 85+ hours of gameplay already and still so much more to do.If you‘ve never played this game before and don’t have access to a PC/XBOX/PS4 ~ then it’s a must buy IMO – even if it’s not as ‘beautiful’ as it could be.And even if you HAVE beaten it before on a higher-end gaming system, replaying it on the go via the Switch is still amazing and worth the price.*With the Witcher show airing on Netflix next month – this is a great time for many to be introduced (or like me, re-acquainted) with Geralt and his intense world.

It’s mind-blowing that the game runs and looks this good on the Switch. Combat is smooth, cutscenes look amazing, and the entire game is voiced and scored perfectly. I have no idea what dark sorcery they used to get the entire Witcher 3 (and BOTH expansions!) onto a 32-gb cartrige, but it’s worth it. Some advice:1. Play in handheld mode. The game looks utterly amazing on the small screen, but far less so on a large TV, where all of the shortcuts they’ve used are magnified.2. Wear Headphones. The game’s score and voice acting are absolutely top-notch, and worth experiencing on a good set of cans.3. At a certain point in the game, it will suddenly seem like the game has switched you to the expansions instead of the main story quest. If this happens, just go and switch the “followed” quest to the main story.

It’s amazing to see the Witcher on the Switch. Being able to take this with me where ever I go is awesome. The 5 star review is for the game, and for how impressed I am with how great the Witcher looks running on the Switch. Obviously, the Witcher looks better on Xbox, PS4 and PC. But this is very decent and at times quite wonderful.

This!!……. This is how many physical games should come to the Switch. The whole Game, plus DLC included in the cartridge. not that ridiculous download required of many games recently. no download code for half the game. The entire game is in a. single 32 gb cartridge. I have to buy this game, not only because is awesome, but because clearly the studio respect the costumers. they can have my business any time. I will always support physical editions like this one. This is an example to follow for every other company. Game is great and I don’t. care about the visual downgrade in comparison to other consoles. I want it portable so I can play while I travel. This is perfect for me.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a huge, open-world, western RPG. The “Complete Edition” is the full package, including all of the main game + both DLC campaigns. Here’s the thing: while the Witcher 3 looks far better on PS4/Xbox One (or especially PC) than it does on the Switch, the mere fact that it’s been ported to Switch is a technical marvel. The bottom line here is simple. The game plays smoothly. The load times are far quicker than they were for me on PS4. The frame rate keeps up at around a steady 30fps. The graphical downgrade, while definitely noticeable, is very passable and, on the small switch screen, looks just fine. It’s literally the entirety of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt all on one 32gb cart – no downloads required (not for the DLC, not for a patch). It’s all here. All included. And that’s just insane. Not only that, but the game comes with extra goodies that most companies wouldn’t even consider these days (i.e., map, manual, stickers).I can’t believe I’m playing this game on a portable system. I can’t believe it runs as well as it does – plays as good as it does. I’m so glad CDPR decided to go through the effort of porting this game to Switch; so glad Saber Interactive worked hard to make it worthwhile. If you haven’t played The Witcher, it’s an amazingly detailed, well crafted RPG. If you have and are on the fence about buying it again, it’s discounted $10 already – you can play it on-the-go – and you can support CDPR for doing something most companies aren’t willing.

The switch edition is my first time experiencing witcher 3, i held out on buying it for my xbox one when i hewrd it was being ported to Switch, i had been eying the xbox one version for a few months, but deciced to wait on switch version, jst because i love my switch and i will play most of it in docked mode, I love the portability of switch, but i mainly play it as a home console. If u like Skyrim, and open world rpg/ action games like tht then u should love the witcher 3….i have only been playing a few hours and absolutely loving it so far!!!!!

Played Witcher 3 on powerful PC… LOVED it… just played on Switch and yes, the graphics were toned down, but the port is amazing and every bit as fun to play (and amazing at 55″)… highly recommend… this is a stunning accomplishment for switch hope there are more like this to follow
