For anyone who like tactical rpg games this is definitely worth grabbing. It’s similar to Final Fantasy Tactics which I would also recommend.
I ordered this game for my 14 year old son. He loves it! It did take a while to receive it, but I was not in a hurry, and when I first ordered it, the shipping date reflected that it would take some time. We looked many places for this game, and it was a little hard to find. It arrived in great shape, and was a great price!

This game is awesome!!! It came two days early, and in great condition. The game plays greatly, but will crash in certain chapter intros. But that’s my own copy, and not a big deal. 10/10, 5 stars, couldn’t be happier.

Even though it came out early in the year, I’m willing to say that it’s probably going to be the best DS game of 2009 (at least in its genre). This game is completely solid in almost every way, including top notch graphics, music, artwork, storyline, dialog, difficulty (it’s not too easy), and playability.I can pick up this game any time, and the way the game is built makes it easy to play in short installments, so if you are on the go a lot or simply have very little time for games it works out rather nicely; if you have a lot of time you can simply play through it. You can stop the game at any time, and since it’s a turn based strategy it’s not really important if you are away from the game for a while (no perceived loss of continuity). The plot is enough to make the game interesting, but not so much that you’d important details over time. I find myself going back to this game more than any others in my DS collection.Every DS owner should have this game, even if just to round out your collection with a finely balanced strategy game. It’s accessible to beginners and yet meaty enough for expert players. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars of fun is because it is not the most awesomely engaging game I’ve ever played, but it has its moments and is otherwise a consistently good experience.The only thing that is bad about this game is the multiplayer, but as a DS owner I’ve become accustomed to horrendous multiplayer. As this is chiefly a single player game, it do.
I have loved playing any kind of Fire Emblem game. I immediately bought this game. Like most of the fire emblem games previous you control an army and gain experience while going through the storyline and trying not to get any of your precious units killed as you speed through. I found that this was fairly easy as you have the option of arena battles. This game is the only fire emblem game where I had the most money at the end of the game. With so much money gained from the arena I had choices opened to me. Also, your units gained valuable exp points in the battle when they win. The storyline grabbed my attention as well. There are a few things that I was a little disappointed in. For one, the game was much too short for my liking. Another thing, you couldn’t play a cleared game with a little advantage like you could in some fire emblem games, but I suppose that is to be expected. I was also disappointed with the fact that you couldn’t go to certain chapters without killing off so many of your units and I’m a person who hates to lose even one of my precious units. Overall, the game was fun for me. It has good graphics and yet I felt that Marth wasn’t much of an attention grabber as a protagonist. He seemed to be a “forgettable” kind of character or one of those cardboard characters. But he does show up in Super Smash Bros so that’s why I remember him. I still believe Ike from the gamecube and Wii fire emblems was much more memorable. I would like a sequel to Marth’s stor.

While mostly the same as the Famicom original various tweaks make for a solid game, Although personally I feel that reclassing isn’t particularly useful for most units and the lack of support conversations is a bit dissapointing.

As a fan of the Fire Emblem franchise I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It unfortunately lacks some of the gameplay improvements which streamlined and improved the overall experience that later games in the series have, however, it has a solid story and characters. Furthermore, this is a vast improvement over the original Fire Emblem 1, of which this is a remake. Would not recommend as a first game in the series, but definitely a must have for fans of the series!

this is hands down one of my favorite game franchises. the main part of this one in particular is the varying difficulties. i can fly through most any tactics game in one try without ever resetting (character loss) except maybe once or twice. but when you put this on merceless difficulty, its a whole new ball game. it feels more like actual war, and definitely takes some strategy.

I bought this product on a whim, when I had a few bucks to spend and wasn’t really sure what game I should get. I love RPG games but I have never tried a strategy RPG before, so I wasn’t really sure I would even like the game. Then I started playing before I knew I had spent 3-4 hours just playing non-stop, absoulutly obsessed, so obsessed in fact I went out to by the game guide just so I could play the game better. In the end I have had to put my DS away just to be able to do other things that need to be done besides playing the game. Great game and I recommend it to everyone.
