DJ Hero. I didn’t find it fun, but I’m not the target audience. My younger brother (whom I bought it for) absolutely loves it. He plays all day and night alone and on XBox live.

This was my first fighting game. I had a few friends teaching me the basics and some more advanced stuff but most of the time I found myself spamming the moves I could pull off easily. The things I like about the game are the online ranking system, it works well. I find myself at about 50:50 for win/loss, which in my eyes shows matchmaking is doing a good job at keeping it challenging, yet rewarding. The main story mode is kind of hit or miss. I can’t bring myself to watch the cheesy cutscenes and movies. Having to unlock some of the characters can be grueling as well. Some people just run right through Seth (Cammy, Zangief, Rufus, the French fighting guy, and Sagat). I was never able to get the hang of the charge characters. I’ve used a joystick and controller (with Kontrol Freeks), and I do much better with the controller. There’s not really a good way to learn these moves either because if you don’t do them fast enough it doesn’t count it as a move anyway. The graphics are cartoony, but good. I mean, there really isn’t much to program except about 12 maps, 100 moves, and 30 characters, so it should have good graphics. My friends complain about how much less skill this game takes over SF2 because the moves don’t require as much speed and accuracy on the controller. Where it was my first fighting game, I kinda need all the help I can get.All in all, it’s not my thing, I’m more of a CoD and Forza person, but this game was fun to learn and play around with from time to.

Street Fighter IV is awesome. They took the old gameplay and added Super and Ultra combos, so even an old veteran could pick up and play well. The Xbox and PS3 controllers are good for controls, but a joystick would be better. It took a little getting used to, but now I can pull off every move in the game with ease except for Vega and Guile’s ultimate and super combo. You really need to practice it to be able to pull it off, or buy a joystick. The Super and ultra combo are cool features. In order to pull off your ultra combo you need to have taken a lot of damage (around 40% health with the lower your hp the higher the damage it does, while the super gauge builds from doing good damage to your opponent and keeping him on the defensive. All of the old characters behave as they should and the new characters are pretty cool as well. Playing single player is a little obnoxious versus the boss on anything above the easiest difficulty because he uses some rather cheap tactics, but that is really my only complaint about the game. Online play is smooth about 85% of the time with only occasional games being dropped.

I’ve been playing SF as long as anyone. I think this game is awsome, it took me about five minutes to figure out which buttons did what, but after that it was on. So any oldschool Street Fighter fans out there sould’nt have much trouble adapting, as for the newbies keep tryin it gets easier, it wouldn’t be much fun if it was too easy now would it.Cool game. Some of the new fighters are stupid, and not much of a storyline. But hey it’s a fighting game so stop reading this and get it.
