My wife and I got this for our son to practice for the SAT’s. He loved it and spent hours playing the game. If you kids enjoy there DS, they will enjoy this game.

FutureU is a great way to study for the college entrance exam. My daughter really loves the game aspect of it, but she is also learning quite a bit at the same time. The challenge is there for her. It is not an easy “game”, it is a study guide, but my daughter feels like she won when she answers the questions correctly. She brings this on the train with her to school to get in the extra studying time needed. I would recommend FutureU to anyone trying to study for any type of standardized test.

I’ve taken the SAT and have used this for studying a bit. The fun factor is decent. It seems a bit kiddish with a little drawn up figure and the displays of the game, but it is helpful. There’s math, reading, and writing. You do exercises similar to the SAT and extra types. My favorite was the game where you’re given a word and you pick out the roots for it, such as with “many,” you would choose “poly.” This is helpful to get you thinking about words more consciously and their meanings. The writing section was helpful too. You are to decide if there’s an error in the sentence, then you pick out where it is, and lastly, the correction for it. For the math, it seemed like basic math, way easier than what’s on the real SAT. But I didn’t go very far in math. If I happened to come across a problem I didn’t know what to do for, there was no way of finding out. So if you feel confident in your abilities and just want some good practice, this game is a good buy. However, if you’re rather rusty and don’t know what to expect for the SAT, at least prepare yourself some. This game is quite useful overall.

This is PERFECT for SAT learning and prep! Really, this is exactly what my son needed. He is quite smart and test taking not to difficult for him, but sitting for SAT’s is not easy! This game just enhances his security for sitting for this incredibly long test. The questions are tough but the game makes it fun to learn them. There are a million SAT prep guides available, but this game is the best I’ve seen. I have a daughter who sat for all her tests using just the SAT prep guides and did very well, but even she wishes this game were around two years ago for her to use. He and his buddies are “playing” this game during free time in school and so far I’ve had two parents ask me where to get the game for their sons as well. Hopefully we’ll have some scholarships in our future! Either way, I know they will all have much more confidence sitting for the test in May.

I got this as a lightening deal, for a steal. Figured it could help increase my general knowledge. I was not wrong. It is a great brain game. Infact the most challenging I have so far. I couldn’t stop playing it when it arrived yesterday.I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to inprove math skills, reading, vocabulary, and critical thinking. It is not easy and it is not stupid characters any youth or adult will find it fun and challenging. I kind of amazed myself that I could do algebra as I was terrible at it in high school.Great game and it was a great price.

I bought this game for my son who will take the SAT for the first time next month. He usually doesn’t like doing “prep” work but this was “fun”. The only “con” was that there wasn’t enough material in this game. He finished all three components in one day. Is there another level?

  8. Dolphin Mom

Great game for those not interested in studying from an SAT prep book. Perhaps it shouldn’t replace SAT prep, but as a reinforcement it works well. It is actually fun.
