Metroid Fusion is a game that grabs you and does not let go. A compelling storyline coupled with innovative graphics and gameplay make for a fantastic adventure. Although it is the fourth outing in the popular Nintendo series, any newcomer (like myself) can appreciate the story and grasp the real danger behind the game’s namesake, a parasitic lifeform known as Metroid. The story seens to come straight from a sci-fi movie (in fact, there are striking similarities between the earlier Metroid games and the Alien series.) – Samus is infected by a parasitic life-form known as the X. Near-death, and after having to undrgo surgical removal of pieces of her Power Suit because they were so integrated with her body, scientists try a radical procedure – a vaccine made from the last known Metroid, the natural predators of the X on their homeworld of SR388. It works, but she is now part-human, part-Metroid.When an explosion rocks the Biologic Space Labs station orbiting SR388, Samus is sent there. She soon discovers her mission – race against time to stop the X from destroying the B.S.L. station, infecting all the lifeforms aboard, and threataning the entire known universe. Samus is also threatened by a creature called the SA-X – an exact copy of her formed from the pieces of the suit sent to the B.S.L. station. You are guided by a computer called Adam, and Samus occasionally compares it to an old CO she once served under. The computer directs you and gives you advice, but lets you a.

This is a very very qaulity series of games som of my favorite! If you don’t Like this game you shouldn’t be aloud to play video games Game informer magazine gives it a ten meaning its one of the best games ever.

  3. Peter A. Miller

Metroid Fusion is one of the better games I have played all year!! It has a good story although a little wierd at points. The graphics are impresive. The sound is great, the controls are very responsive. The boss battles are very fun, and range from super easy to challenging. The actual game however is VERY SHORT, the fact that you can beat it in under 2 hours is just wierd. I prefer my games to be a little longer but it is still worth going out and spending you $… on! BYE THIS GAME!!!!!

Metroid Fusion is not as great as the Metroid games for the SNES, but it was good to find a Metroid game for the Gameboy Advance.

Every once in a while, a game comes along, which redefines very essence of gaming and sets a standard for all other games to follow. It could be graphic, game play, music, innovation, originality, and experience. When I play a game, the most important factor I see and cherish ultimately comes down to experience. I can pick only three games; Ico, the masterpiece which shouldn¡¯t be missed by anyone, and Metal Gear Solid, another masterpiece where everything was masterfully controlled. Lastly, I pick Super Metroid for SNES, which literally made me cry for 3 hours, and almost, almost made me to determine to never play video game again back in college years. So you see how much I¡¯ve been anticipating for true sequel of Metroid. Now the question is does this fourth ¡®true¡¯ sequel of Metroid lives up to its legacy? Now just finishing Metroid Fusion for the first time (you will get goosebump all over when you hear that classic Metroid title music, SERIOUSLY). I can¡¯t help but being immersed in this world of, you tell me, like world of exceedingly wonderful mood-This very sequel, Metroid Fusion, will mesmerize you with the time-tested foundation of previous Metroid games with enhancement on every aspect. Graphic looks so vibrant and vivid that you will literally go WOW, seriously. Music wise, I would say they sort of took out that out-in-the-space atmosphere more and inserted more of movie score like, making it feel like more of movie. You know, that¡¯s true because prev.

Too easy, I would reccomend buying, but keep in mind that this game will give you alot of frusturation(did I spell that right?)I was able to beat Metroid Fusion in a day, but I have gone back, again and again to get Samus w/her clothes off(under 2 hours and 100% items)Weell worth it, for that.

  7. Trevor L.

Ive always been a huge Metroid fan. This was yet another success in the franchise, and its still better than Other M.

  8. Jacob Crites

Though technically not the “newest” Metroid game, it is the latest in the Metroid storyline. Coming right after Super Metroid and Metroid Other M, Fusion is the perfect culmination of both games, combining the exploration-based gameplay of Super Metroid with the brisk pacing and narrative focus of Metroid Other M. The story isn’t as strong as the latter, and the exploration isn’t as strong as the former, but this is a game that’s significantly better than the sum of its parts. Whether your a Metroid fanatic or just wondering what the series is all about, Metroid Fusion is an essential play.

  9. JeramyKohler

My only complaint about this game is after you beat it and hook it up to the Game Cube to unlock the orginal Metroid, you can’t use the GBA as a controler. I find the GC controler a bit useless on a game that only had A, B & select. I think I just needed the feel of the orginal controler to have the full effect.
