I love this game! Played it about 10 years ago or so, and it’s just as fun when I play it now. Definitely stands the test of time. What I love about it is that it is quite creepy. It feels like a survival horror game, in platformer form.If you’re a Metroid fan, it’s a must have, along with Zero Mission.

I dislike that I don’t have it

It’s been eight years since Nintendo last released a Metroid game. Now that Metroid Fusion and Prime have come out, I find it was worth the wait. All of the gameplay factors that were in Super Metroid are included with Fusion.Samus Aran is sent to a Space Station above the planet SR-388 to watch over Biologics reasearch team. There Samus is attacked by aparasitic organism known as X. Her suit was destroyed by the X parasite and almost killed her. To save her, she is injected with the Metroid vaccine, which kills any X in her bodie. Samus recieves a new Fusion suit, which protects her, but does not give her the abilites the Power Suit (the yellow one) gave her. After the incident, Samus is given a new mission: to go to SR-388 and hunt down the X parasites and along the way, find upgrades to give her a better chance of survival. The gameplay is the same as previous Metroid games and gives you the same eerie feeling as it did before. This is a must have Game Boy Advance title and one you should not miss. You can also unlock special features by conecting Metroid Fusion to Metroid Prime on the Nintendo GameCube. Have a blast!

When I found out there was a new Metroid game coming out, I got a little excited. When they called it Super Metroid on [drugs], I got really excited. Got it the day after it came out.Ok, I’ll break it down to the basic aspects.Controls: 5/5I considered four, but I gotta go with five. It does seem a little glitched once in a while when you fire a shot from the air, but overall it really is perfect. The learning curve for the controls is only about 20 minutes, then you’ve got it. The old Super Metroid attacks are easier to control, Space Jump and Boost Jump in particular.Graphics: 5/5The cut scenes are truly epic for a portable system. In game, its very smooth, has the same feel as Super Metroid. The backgrounds are just the right shade so that movement on the screen is easy to see and you don’t have the problems like you do in some of the other GBA games. The enemies aren’t cloaked in the darkness of the screen.Sound: 6/5This is the best. The music is perfect for the game, and you have got to use headphones. There is a headphone mode for it. When enemies enter the screen from the right, it goes off in your right ear and the music in one section alternates sides. Very cool effects.Replay: 5/5You are going to have to play this game a lot of times to get the real ending, and its worth the work to get it. You can complete the game in 2 hours, but to beat it you are talking up in the 30s and 40s.Overall: 5/5Its not perfect. No game is without weaknesses, but this is.

What needs to be said other than: this is one of the best, if not the best, Metroid games ever and I’m really glad to have it once again.

The Good: Evolved Metroid game play, great story, good level designThe Bad: Short, graphics don’t push the GBA, doesn’t do anything new to the genreWhile this is only the second Metroid I’ve ever played I keep getting more and more addicted to the series. While every Metroid adds something new to the whole series Fusion is no exception. Samus is stuck in a space station and she gets fused to an alien organism known as X. While a mysterious computer guides her through her missions she has to stop the source of the X. She discovers that the X has cloned Samus known as SA-X. While you get all your abilities to be able to fight against SA-X you find out who the mysterious computer is and what the X is. While you have all your typical Metroid game play mechanics there is some different stuff such as new weapons, and what not. The level design is superb here but there are some flaws to this game. Sometimes it’ll be almost impossible to find out where to go sometimes which makes things frustrating. Some boss fights are extremely hard and set you back to save points very far away. The game is really short clocking in at 4 hours or so but during your first run through it will take about 6 or so because you’ll die a lot and you’ll have to find out where to go. The story is good but takes forever to really unfold. Fusion should be played by any side scroller fan and I promise you’ll love it.

Well, first of I’ll say that Metroid is one of my favorite series. This game is no exception to the series. There are a few things changed around and the game can be tough, but…it has all of the cool elements. Suit upgrades, weapon upgrades, everything…screw attack, ice missiles, super missiles, plasma beam, everything…the game is kind of linear, but it’s still fun. Plus, if you beat it and link it up with Metroid Prime no the Gamecube, you can play the first Metroid ever. Now that’s awesome.

While this game is highly enjoyable, it falls somewhat short of ‘perfection’ when compared to most of the other Metroid games.I wasnt too fond of Samus new ‘look’ and the fact that this game pretty much holds your hand and tells you what to do next and where to go next. It makes you lose the sense of free exploration that the Metroid games are much known for.Still, this is an extremely solid and well made space adventure that should keep you occupied in its 3-5 hour mission.

Awesome game ever
