  1. Charles H.

Goldeneye’s single-player campaign is fantastic. Its multiplayer, however, is only partially up to snuff. In the one player mode, you have several different difficulties, just like in the original. When you play on the lower modes like Agent, you have fewer objectives and I’d imagine that the enemies shoot a little slower or something. And on 007 Classic Mode, you have to make use of body armor to protect your health, again like the N64 game (although there aren’t any health packs). There are two ways to progress through Goldeneye: 1) Sneak around. 2) Blow everyone to kingdom come. Option 2 ultimately results in a Call of Duty clone, and that’s no fun. I really enjoyed the stealth elements of this campaign. It’s very easy to get into the scenario, asking yourself questions like, “Will I get caught if I sneak this way?” or “Will I able to shoot this guard, then shoot the one watching him before he calls reinforcements?” I know that I felt nervous for old James more than a few times while playing this. There are only a couple of spots where enemies spawn infinitely, which is great because I’ve always hated that. You can clear the area of enemies, then roam around completing objectives at your leisure. This too is reminiscent of the original. The graphics of the campaign are good, too. They’re not the best Wii has to offer, but they’re certainly up there. The online multi-player of this game is where it falls a little flat. Black Ops Wii, which was released around the same time, is.

I bought this game for my husband for a present. He was so excited. It brought back his childhood when he played this game on the N64. It is a great price to put a smile on his face.

  3. Nitro

Wow this game proved well beyond my expectations.I did not think it would come even close to holding up to the n64 but it actully puts up a fightthe n64 version is miles better but this, this is a great call backif you like the movie and love the n64 game then buy this.

  4. Sailor Al

Other reviews have pretty much written everything that can be said, but this is as near a flawless FPS as exists on the Wii.The graphics are solid, there is plenty of replay value in the different modes, the different missions of plenty of unique feel. Some things that were quite strong:- Cinematic cut scenes seamlessly integrated- With the exception of the Nigeria mission, which felt tacked-on, the overall graphics feel is good (for the Wii)- Nice voice acting with Daniel Craign and Judi Densch, and good sound track- Robust set of missions and objectives, and some nice challenges- Nice mix of weapons- Stealth vs. Blasting offers a nice way to approach every objective completely differently, with a different set of challengesAlthough the story is familiar to anyone who has seen the movie, the only unfortunate part, it is still very strong for an FPS. I’ve played others where the story or the voice acting was more of an irritant and detraction than an enhancement. All in all, the Wii is for the kids, but this the one game bought for the adults in the room, and my favorite by far.

  5. The phone guy

I thought this was going to be the remake of the 64 version but it is not. It is better in most reguards although I still want the old version with new graphics, this is better with the same concept multiplayer as the original. If you liked it for the 64 I would get it for the Wii.

  6. Daniel Mosquera

This game pays really good homage to the original Nintendo 63 game. However, the original still holds strong and does not use the cutscenes

  7. D's true reviews

The game played like the original from Nintendo 64 except the controller is different because your using it on a wii. Nostalgia made me get this game.

  8. STEVEN BUTLER

Best game for the Wii. You’ll want to play this game over and over. Very satisfying.

  9. nancy c mangus

in perfect condition when received, and still is after many, many, and did i mention many, times it has been used

  10. Abstract Cool Shopper

The new version of Golden Eye is really good. They took elements of the original story line and dressed it up with Daniel Craig vice Pierce Brosnan. The game plays well, updated technology and it has a feel more like a Modern Warfare type game play. If you enjoyed what Rareware did with the first Golden Eye on Nintendo 64 then you’ll really enjoy this version on the Wii. Activision took the reigns and they did a great job with this game. The only reason I think this game wasn’t a big hit is because they waited so long to do a sequel. By the way it works really well with Wii controllers. Doesn’t require the Wii Plus controller if you don’t have one, also if you have the old Game Cube controllers they work well too. Its for the lazy person that don’t want to swing their arms around using the Wii controller like me.
