having not played a solid fighting game in quite some time and feeling like rekindling my old DBZ interest, I set off to a game store to pick this puppy up for 30 bucks. It’s a great game, easily worth 50 dollars, even though I payed almost half that. The dragon universe is very nice, and i enjoyed playing through the character’s sagas, and searching for the dragon balls (but by the time i got to vegetas saga the dragon ball searching was a little boring). Martial arts tournament mode was fun,as was that unlockable mode (forgot the name!), where you choose a leveled up character and fight against the computer of a certain level. and 40 characters! it has basically every character you could have hoped for, mainly from the DBZ series and movies. transformations are nicely done, and the controls aren’t that hard to master (although i still have trouble with pursue). in short, a great game for DBZ fans and non fans alike. I could easily reccomend tis to anyone.
The DBZ Budokai franchize is on a whole new levelPros:-Excellent graphics-Supereb Gameplay-Good ol’ voice acting-New level up system(Upgrade by getting EXP RPG style, AWESOME!!)-New battle improvments(After doing death moves you can add a kick or 2, and you can go in hypermode, and play a game of “press the button and hope the computer doesn’t press the same.” Nice)-Packing 40 characters is quite a wallop of a punch-Flying around in story mode is awsome!-Power moves are flat out awsome-I love fighting in tournament mode-Collecting Dragonballs is a bit of a adventure-This is the best DBZ game EVER!!Cons:-Unlocking takes a bit of a while(Quite a bit of people to use in story mode)-Looking for dragonballs is a bit frustrating(Switching between map to look where you’re going, and Dragon radar to find dragonball)-Sometimes story mode leaves out something-I didn’t really like Dragonball GTFinally a DBZ game that gets acclaim from bigtime game sites(ex gamespot, gamespy, and IGN). This is the game DBZ fans have been dreaming of. And it was a great triliogy that got better and better till the very end. This game should be owend by those who are familiar with the DBZ series, and even those unfamiliar with the DBZ franshize should give this a shot, because I have a friend who hated DBZ cause it dragged on for a while(ex goku using spirit bomb on Frieza), but he liked this game for it’s fast paced RPG style tactics. This goes to show DBZ has reached a level beyond the level of a sim.

The previous Budokai games were highly anticipated, but didn’t really give gamers what they wanted. Atari takes those gamer wants and translates them into an incredible fighting game known as Dragonball Z: Budokai 3. When I finally got a chance to play this game, I was just blown away. There’s so many new additions to Budokai 3 that kept the previous Budokai games from ever becoming forever remembered fighting games.The graphics of Budokai 3 are amazing. The game is cel-shaded like the previous Budokai, but with more depth. The characters look like they came straight out of the show and just about everything has been changed. Auras, which are the energy fields that surrounds the characters, now look like they were taken directly from the show. Even SS4 Gogeta’s aura has the sparkles like in the show. Ki Blast Waves look different depending on the character. And the character stances even change when you transform. Even the special attacks look exactly like on the shows (example: Kid Goku’s Kamehameha).The fighting system has been completely upgraded. Even if you’ve become incredible in Budokai 1 or 2, you’ll still be forced to learn the game over again. The newest addition to the game is the Saiyan Overdrive Fighting system. Ki management has never been less frustrating. Now there is a baseline level of Ki. Whenever you fall under that baseline, your Ki automatically regenerates. And when it rises over that, it naturally falls back down. The baseline Ki chang.

Well I’ll start that the basics of this game is simple as for those who had played the older series such as Grandia 2 or Grandia Xtreme. This game has good battle system since it almost like real time based and in Grandia 3 the battle system is improved from the earlier series. They add features like the aerial combo this type of combo ownz the enemies but off course, every movement should be calculated to obtain successive damage. The plot of the game is very good besides of some flaws in the story(common RPG Plot a hero who wants to become someone and well the plot develops and gets the player be into the game), but overall the content is good. Well you can customize the battle skills and magic so if you want magic can be applied to which character you like. The game quality of image its really good an with alot of details… its even beats some recent Jap RPGS for the 360 LOL.Well This game I cosidered as a must buy and for new to RPG I recommend this game.
Childhood all came back to me. Since this has the original soundtrack, budokai 3 in the HD collection can’t touch this version. BUY!
Dragon Ball Z – Budokai 3 follows in the footsteps of games 1 and 2. Part fighting game, part story mode RPG, you get to fully involve yourself in the Dragon Ball Z universe.There is a huge number of characters available here, both major and minor. There’s a large world that you can fly around completely freely, as compared with the previous versions that stuck you on a set board.The graphics are cel shaded very distinctly “cartoony” main characters against a more gentle painted background / landscape. The animations are smooth and in keeping with the series style.The music is a bit tinny – I think they could have done better and still been true to the series – but since many fighting games have completely atrocious music, I can’t criticize that too much.Of course we can say that Dragon Ball Z fans will love this game, and play it for years and years without stopping. It’s impressive that this game even holds up very well for people who have never seen Dragon Ball Z. You learn about the game world as you go, and have great fun fighting.Once you unlock all the characters and battlefields, there’s still more customization to do and skills to perfect. It really is a game that you can replay for months.Well Recommended.

Budokai 3 is a tremendously fun Dragonball Z game, incorporates a number of key characters into the game like Brolly and Cooler, and is great with its ultimate move feature, allowing you to really pummel your opponents.

Budokai 3 is by far the most funnest dbz game ever. There are so many characters to be in this game. The Basics are Goku, Kid Gohan, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Picollo, Vegeta, ECT. There are lots of secret characters like Broly, Cooler, Bardock, Omega Shinron (GT). Plus you can be Super Sayian4 Goku and Vegeta. Story mode is fun and challenging and tournaments are cool too. The hyper attacks are amazing and great. Dragon rush is another great feature in this game that captures the magic of the tv show. Even though if your not a fan of DBZ this game is worth the money. Buy it today or rent it. It’s the greatest ever

I’m sure you’re one of the Grandia fans from PS2 days and look forward to the same great experience. I doubt you’ll be disappointed, and hope my review will cover all the bases so you know what type of games Grandia III is.First of all, this game had all the hype it needed. There weren’t any commercials or anything that made the game seem better then it is. This game brought back feelings of playing the first Grandia (PSX) as well as Lunar: Silver Star Story on the Sega CD. The first 5 hours spent playing this game I was blown away and remembered how fun the battle system was. It’s been a while since I played an EXTREMELY good non-Square-enix game. You see…t.his game is made by Game Arts. Thank them for the Lunar series as well as Grandia on the original PlayStation. Even though most people are buying this to pass time til’ Kingdom Hearts II, this game really IS worth buying. However, the game is very cutscene drivin’ which so far, doesn’t bother me at all. The cut-scenes are very well done with a great GRANDIA feeling. Not at all like Xenosaga, which was coldi in its portrayal of the characters. This game has spirit and life; you’ll enjoy the plot advancement as well as getting to know your party of heroes.It’s games like this, that really make me wonder what else Square-enix can throw at us. It’s going to get better and better each game. (Again, GameArts made this game but S-E was the publisher). I think Final Fantasy XII could be a revolutionary step between action and r.
