Hello retrolio shoppers, Amir0x from Hangar-G3 here. When you think of Grandia, you automatically think of the battle system. The reason for this is simple: it’s the one thing that sets the series apart. It’s furious, fast, and strategic. And it leaves you wishing more RPGs did something like this. As long as this aspect of Grandia is in place, you’re guaranteed a great experience. And Grandia III does not disappoint. Additions, such as Aerial Combos, add to the fantastic system and provide all the frenetic action the franchise is known for. In this way, it is not only a return to form but it is superior to its predecessors.Visually as well, the game seriously pushes PS2 far beyond what you’d expect. Spectacular spell effects, robust character models, vibrant towns… all of it is a testament to the talent of the development team. The incredible scenery and artistic direction compliment a rock solid engine. On the minus side, the soundtrack is a bit of a downer. None of it is particularly inspired, which is surprising considering how great Noriyuki Idaware’s previous works were. None of the tracks really stay in your memory for long, which is generally one of the first signs that it’s not leaving any lasting impact. Finally, the storyline is really not up to the standards of the rest of the games. The relationships between Yuki and the rest of the cast (with the exception of his mother) all fall into the cliche, one-dimensional range. The motivations of who you ultima.

Very good game and in the condition described. Would buy from the same shop again and the game itself isn’t too bad storyline and plot wise. I Would rate it a solid 8 out of 10 :)

I love to turn this game up on the surround sound when no one is home and really have some fun–I think it is much better in the sound effects department than the others. Tons more screaming too. I didn’t get Dragonball Z 2 because I heard some really negative reviews but I enjoyed Budokai 1. I got this a few weeks ago and it really is the best DBZ game to date in my opinion. I like really fast fighting games like Guilty Gears…I didn’t even get the new MK because MK Deadly Alliance felt slow to me—so did Tekken 4….but this is one super fast game…teleport rules—instantanious teleport!!!! I think the the graphics are great–colors are very vivid. And if you get the game used and it has no instructions, just go through your training mode first…no big deal–it’s all in there. And Trunks kicks butt on this one…check it out.

Okay seriously this game is made for two types of people. The first is for DBZ fans (in which I just don’t get it, dying, reviving and what not just loses me). Now the second type of person this game is made for is fighting game fans. There are only a few fighting games on the consoles that are worth playing right now:Dragon Ball Z 3Naruto 3 (Gamecube import you have to get this)Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate (X Box)Now some may argue that the new Mortal Kombat is a contender but I think not, its just hyped up to me and I just don’t get (I don’t get a lot things). Now on to the reveiw. First of all this game has a ton of replay value. All of the characters from the DBZ universe are not present, but there are a lot of them and some are stronger than others. In order to get the majority of them you must play the story mode and collect all of the dragonballz. To get some characters you have to just roam around in RPG like fashion and trigger events in the same way as the cartoon (I had some help with this). In order to unlock all of the breakthrough capsules (all of the moves set onto one pill) you would have to buy them from the shop for all of the characters that are not in the story mode. The fighting system has been revamped and you can now do a major moves such as the spirit bomb pretty much at will (instead of doing a combo like in DBZ 2 and 1 that in versus mode can be seen coming a mile away). The ability to vanish behind the opponent as a counter is a much added plus and it pre.
