Underrated classic.

Similar to a final fantasy game. If you like final fantasy, you will like this game as well

First of all, I think this is a great game, what with the characters being believable for the most part, and very decent music to boot. Grandia 2’s characters’ voice-acting is very good, better than I had expected when I had first played and bought the game (6 or more months ago). The graphics aren’t the best out there, and some people would say they’re below average for a Playstation 2 game, but they serve their purpose well enough. Storyline in this game is very good, with a large cast of characters and solid, well built situations, and a decent plot as well. The game’s sound effects are pretty good (sword swooshing and others) and the battle system is one of the BEST I’ve seen in a game ever(and I’ve played a lot of games). Replay value (secrets, minigames, alternate storylines, etc.) is minimal, but don’t let that stop you, ’cause the story, music, and gameplay make up for all of that.Ok, here’s my ratings for all of this game’s elements (out of a possible ten points):Music: 9/10Gameplay: 9 and a half/10Storyline: 8/10Replay Value: 4/10Voice Acting: 8/10Graphics: 7/10Sound Effects: 8 and a half/10Overall, I’d have to give this game a 8 and a half/10, with points deducted because of it’s low replay value and average graphics (althrough I like this type of graphics, many people don’t)and such. In addition to this RPG game, some other RPGs that I recommend are all of the Final Fantasy games, Chrono Cross, Jade Cocoon 2 (training Divine Beasts, which are monster-type creature.

Greatest JRPG I have ever played. I’ll excuse the flaws of the Playstation 2 port has with its version compared to the Sega Dreamcast version but its still is a great from start to finish.

I love this game. It’s one that I don’t mind replaying again, no matter that I’ve beat it in every mode at least a dozen times. I love the characters and the story.

Again just like final fantasy VII dont spend tons of money when you can get the very same game for only 12.99 at gamestop.I dont understand why people post this for 50 and 60 bucks..Its an old game, yet a very good game.If you wanna save money go to a game store and buy these hard to find games, cause on here they just want your money.

Grandia II is a whole lot better than I had anticipated it to be. The music, sound, and voice overs are outstanding. The graphics are breathe-taking. The battle system is unbelievable. The graphics for the spells and special moves are a marvel to behold. All in all this is a definite must buy for any RPG fan, or anybody that likes a good old fashion story of good versus evil :) Buy it, you’ll like it.
