I purchased this game to have another party game (along with Dance Central 2) and because I’m far more familiar with the music of Grease I decided to open up the game and give it a try by myself and was really please with the game. The game is basically broken down into 4 sections.A) DanceB) KaraokeC) Party (2 dancers and up to 6 back up singers)D) Mini GamesI really only focused on the Dancing and the various songs have been separated by easy, medium and hard, and you were graded on how well you performed the moves. You are required to start with an easy song first and as you perform the songs and based on how well you do you unlock new songs to perform. I completed all the easy and some of the medium difficulty rated songs my first time through.I will state since I’m not a dancer and have a much more difficult time with Dance Central that the Grease Dance grading system is probably an easier grader, but I had a lot of fun, and that wasn’t something I would expect to do with a dancing game.So in short, this is a dancing game that I would recommend to a friend, and expect them to like it as well.

My twins just had their 11th birthday party. I watched them playing Dance Central with their friends and thought it would be a good way for me to get some exercise too. Problem is, I just don’t care for most of the music in any of the Dance Central or similar games. I found this after a little searching and decided to give it a try. The movie came out when I was about my kids’ age. It’s what I grew up with – and, hey, I even remembered some of the moves from “Greased Lightning”.I tried it after the kids went to bed, working my way through all the “easy” songs. I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I loved it, jumping around the room and channeling my inner 12 year old. :) The load times were a little slow, but the cartoon-y Grease characters are cute and fun to watch, so I didn’t mind so much (it also gave me some time to catch my breath). I haven’t tried the party mode, Karaoke, or the mini-games, but I’m looking forward to checking those out at some point. Who knows – I might be able to persuade my kids to play it with me.I’m rating it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the slow loading and because the rating system seems a bit rough – I got a lot of “perfect” ratings on moves where I know I was anything but, and occasionally “ok” or “poor” when I think I nailed it. As I’m just in it for the exercise and a bit of fun, that doesn’t really bother me.

I seriously considered returning this game because it is the stupidest dance game I have ever tried with Kinect and I have numerous. BUT I chose to keep it because I have never laughed so hard playing a game. This is totally great for parties, families, friendly get togethers, geeky fun times and anyone who has the courage to act like a fool and laugh and laugh and laugh…
