Came early good quality , would also recommend to others
This game is really good, consisting of the most popular songs in the Guitar Hero series (ass the name obviously states, i know…). Gameplay is the same as we have seen in the series so far, and so are the graphics. I just fell there should be more options for the customization of the guitars.
Getting this game was a good choice because I enjoy listening to the older songs, especially the master tracks. Not for everyone, but if you like guitar hero and good classic rock you can’t go wrong for twenty bucks.
I just rented the game and it is much better than all of the previous Guitar Hero games, the things that made it better were the visuals and the set-list. The setlist combines all of the greatest songs from previous Guitar Hero games and i will say that they did a great job choosing the best songs. Naturally a game like this may not please everyone, but it does have some awesome songs on it to play fake instruments with. Enjoy!
This a great family night game at home, and a deployment tradition down range. it’s a good intro yo rock classics, as well as more contemporary stuff that’s fun to play, plus the drums are a workout!

If you ever wished you could play Guitar Hero 1 or 2 with a full band or with the original masters, this is the game for you! It’s simply awesome to relive some of my favorites. Plus, the notes are all redone. I think this is because these are original masters rather than some cover bands that Harmonix used for the original versions.It feels like going from the VHS version of Star Wars to a HDTV 7.1 version. Totally new way to experience it the way it was meant to be experienced.The only thing I hate about Smash Hits is that you can only import a few songs to Guitar Hero 5 or Band Hero. And some of the songs I really really wanted didn’t make the transfer (like the Boston song and the Franz Ferdinand song). So I basically have to play Smash Hits totally separate from the other GH games. That’s a bummer.

For those who are skeptical because you have played these songs before need to know that the gameplay is new for all songs. In career, you only need to play a select number of songs to unlock the next section, so at first I was only playing songs from the older games that I haven’t played in a long time and skipping songs that are available on current games such as Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2. To my surprise when I did finally play those songs that the fingerings for guitar/bass are different. They didn’t just take the current guitar gameplay and plop it into this game. Instead, they have updated the gameplay to not only have different fingerings (that in my opinion are mostly a vast improvement over the previous versions of these songs) but they also incorporate the newest styles of gameplay, such as three string chords & the three string hammer-on chords that we saw with the latest versions of guitar rhythm games. It makes all of these previously released songs fresh, new, and fun to play. Also, all the original artists are here, so all the cover songs from past games now have the original artists.Being able to play drums and sing was enough to make me want to get this previously released material, but having new guitar fingerings for all these songs was a bonus I didn’t expect. You also get all the online options from the currently released rhythm games.I highly recommend this.

The disk had no scratches and it runs smoothly. This game has lots of fun songs to play. The outer casing was a little beat up and has a barcode sticker on it.

The list of songs on this CD are mostly awesome. Who can buy a CD, even by an artist they love, and love all the songs. I think it would be rare. Anyway. I like the fact that I was able to import them into my Warriors Of Rock list (hate the fact that Ms charges for that, though that has no bearing on the product itself).
