To begin with, the graphics are just unreal. During some of the cut scenes I almost thought they were using real actors. The game play is classic Halo stuff. The multiplayer is pretty fun, with some new game formats including Spartan Ops which can be a lot of fun too.Unfortunately, the game has some flaws. The story line is disjointed and not very compelling. You just feel like you’re moving from one level to another without knowing why you’re going there. In contrast to Reach, which had a phenomenal story line. Also, it’s a bit short and doesn’t really leave you satisfied. Some of the new baddies can be a bit rough, especially on legendary, where the Knights are just pretty much invincible.Overall a good installment in the Halo series though!

I have to hand it 343 for stepping out and trying to be different. Even though it feels like they copied Call of Duty in the Multiplayer, the Campaign was great. Overall, this is a great game, and defiantly worth buying.Campaign:The story is great, and the missions are constantly keeping you engaged. There are many different tasks and challenges, and the graphics are wonderful.Multiplayer:Halo + Call of Duty= Halo 4 multiplayer. Online is defiantly entertaining, but there are no maps that become instant classics. Honestly, I think Halo Reach multiplayer was better map wise. However, Halo 4 has new game types, and new weapons adding to the fun.

I bought the game when it first came out and it was a lot like halo reach and i hated halo reach so i returned the game for a full refund. I recently started to wonder what the campaign was about so i decided to give it another chance. I bought the game for less than 20 bucks brand new than when it first came out! Sweet! That was satisfying and worth persuading in buying the game. So long story short I bought the game finished the campaign and was so disappointed to the max. 343 Ind. sucks at making good game play/dialog they focus more on the cut scenes and videos than the actual gameplay. Now i know why i returned the game but hey at least i got the rest of the story down.

We played the game non-stop on legendary until complete last weekend. Here is my review:Campaign co-op is possible, but if you have more than 2 people, you cannot play split-screen, or LAN, you’ll have to play online. What that meant for my 3-person crew, was 3 TVs, 3 XBOXs, and 3 copies of the game, in order for us all to be in the same room, sharing pizza, and having fun in person.Online multiplayer in standard “forge” mode is the same as it ever was. Slayer, death-match, oddball, etc.The new Spartan-Ops mode is a PHENOMENAL promise, and if they manage to pull it off, it will set the bar for years to come for online multiplayer. My crew and I have already completed both of the 2 chapters on offer, and they are fun, and fit right into our weekly gaming nights seamlessly.Overall, the game is fun, the campaign picks up right where we left off with the Chief and Cortana, and it is a decent adventure with some heaping amounts of back-story finally filled in. Bonus points if you have been reading the books, because they use that canon in the game. I DID NOT care for the ending, and I am hoping that Halo 5 will change what happened with some sort of comic-book hero resolution to what happened (I am trying not to spoil it, so I am being vague) — but I am also told I am overly sentimental.Final thoughts: the game is still a bit buggy. I personally died about 4 times in the campaign mode due to doors closing on me and just killing me. Additionally, the game is arbitrary about w.

I began playing this game about two weeks ago with my brother online. I swore off the halo series after the garbage Halo Reach they put out. With a new studio in control, for the price, I decided to give it a shot. I really enjoyed Halo 3 and this game has more of the Halo feel to it. There’s still equipment and running like Halo Reach had which still takes some adjusting too but I love the fact that the battle rifle and the DMR is in it. The only thing keeping this from getting a 5 star is that yet again, when you’re going through the game, there is a SERIOUS lack of weaponry available. You always feel like you’re running out of ammo. In these types of games, if you think about it, who would send someone into battle without essentially unlimited ammo to take care of the job? If someone can find me a game with that, let me know and I’ll switch to that. It gets super frustrating with waves of enemies coming at you and you have no response with weapons. Overall though, pretty dang good game.

I love this game, play it all the time. There are some issues that more serious players have with some of the game dynamics-players don’t need armor upgrades AND game enhancements AND ordinance calls all in the same game, but for my level of gameplay I think it makes things fun. I am disappointed by the story line in campaign-I won’t spoil anything but I think its a lame plot personally, but great maps and gameplay nonetheless. Also, playing multiplayer matchmaking is really fun-I just wish that 343 would come up with a solution for the game interruptions that happen AT LEAST every other match. The matchmaking maps are excellent in my opinion, and 343 does a good job of adjusting weapon spawns as they are needed.

My son and I love playing this game, both the actual walk through game and the online content where you go against other real players. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, and maybe even should have dropped it to 3 stars, is that it doesn’t let us save the walk through game. Multiple times, we’ve taken an afternoon and been halfway through the game, or more. We save it and when we return later it makes us start over. That is VERY frustrating. But, the game is fun and I appreciate how it has minimal cussing, unlike other games in the genre. The online content (War Games, etc) is addictive!

It has been years since I played my favorite video game series. I only bought the Xbox360 so I could okay Halo 3 and now I have Halo 4. I’m satisfied! A great entry in the storied video have series.

**SPOLIERS**That fact that 343 is now running with this franchise is not a concern for me after having played the campaign all the way through. The story has always been the part of this game series that made it stand out, as other games have definitely caught up on the game play aspect of it along the way. This one takes the story and breathes life back into it, introducing a new enemy to replace the flood in the storyline, as well as introducing a new generation of Spartans, even just as background characters. I fully expect the role of the other Spartans to expand in future game releases. I especially felt for the chief during his loss of his, lets face it, only friend, the closest thing to a spouse he will probably ever have, and felt warm at seeing him finally make his way back home to Earth where he could finally take off that armor after about 5 years of wearing it!

First off, I want to say that I have not always been a halo fan. However, the past few years i’ve played through the entire collection, and I am impressed with the sci-fi epic it has become. This being the first entry of the series not made by Bungie, I immediately felt that there was something different about the flow of the story, almost as if there was more emphasis on the story-telling. All the familiar shooting mechanics are still here, which includes very tight controls and fast paced action.Multiplayer is also given a story. In addition, you are given a lot more choices in multiplayer, like customizing your gun loadouts a la Call of Duty. Furthermore, Spartan Ops is very reminicent of Spec Ops from COD.There is a LOT of content, which is a nice change to most retail releases. Definitely worth $60.A great game overall. This is a MUST BUY for fans of the series, sci-fi fans, and anyone who loves a good shooter.
