Plays NES and SNES games. Its about the next best thing to having a real nintendo lying around. S-video output quality is absolutely terrible, stick with the RCA cables. I played 3 NES games so far and they all work perfectly, Zelda save files aren’t an issue either. Haven’t tried a super nintendo game yet, I’m sure they work just as well as the nes.Sometimes you have to stick the nes cartridge in several times before you can load it properly, at first I thought mine was broken. Then I just kept takingthe cartridge out and sticking it back in and it worked fine – and still does work fine, almost every time. Controllers are awesome, I don’t know how anyone could complain about them.All in all, for the price the retro duo cannot be beat. An adapter can be purchased to play sega genesis games as well; now I think that’s just too cool. Now its time to finally beat castlevania! With me luck!

I got this to introduce the kids to the awesomeness of 8-bit gaming. I also wanted my wife to be able to play Paperboy. As clasics go, Duck Hunt doesn’t work because the light gun doesn’t work with anything but CRT screens. Paperboy (and a few others) doesn’t work because they read the controller differently on the NES, which doesn’t work at all on this system. That said, we have been having fun for the last few months playing this. They’ve almost forgotten about annoying YouTube videos and asking to use our phones.

Perfect!!! We were recently looking to purchase a regular Nintendo, but of coarse they were outrageously priced as now considered vintage. We came across this product. It was an added bonus to play both the NES & SNES games in this system. So far, we haven’t had to ‘blow’ in any cartridges in order for them to work. Just push the game down into the slot and you are ready to play. I do wish the cords were a little longer or even cordless, due to the size of the tv we have been playing this on but we’ll make it!

So excited,My husband found his old Nintendo games and was looking to buy a Nintendo but they are kinda pricey was very pleased with this game console haven’t had any issues and it even fits both Super Nintendo games

Wish I had gotten this instead of a NES off eBay. So much better and the games work perfectly. Even the 500 in 1 I bought works perfect!

Just got it in today and it works well. It does do that old school force play with th slot thing, but other than that it plays smooth. Works well with my Samsung t.v 32 inch.

I love this product. My only complaint is that the controllers, as you would expect, don’t have the same feel as the original SNES. They don’t click quite as well either. But besides this, it’s wonderful! I would recommend it :) I don’t have any NES games to try on this, so sorry I couldn’t leave any comments about that part.

It works great! My husband still has an original NES that doesn’t work very well and a bunch of games. The games all play in this. Very happy. We have not tried the SNES yet, but may have to get a few games and try it! :)

I decided to start collecting NES and SNES games, so this console seemed perfect. Fortunately, it didn’t disappoint – both types of games work perfectly, the controllers work great. I think the only possible drawback is that the output is all analog – to connect to a modern screen, you’ll need to add an analog->HDMI converter. My kids (and I) are amazed at how well these games stand the test of time.

I love, Love, LOVE this system! I had at least 20 SNES games sitting in a small tote, collecting dust :'( I had two original SNES systems before we were broken into and robbed. Never did I think someone would want to steal that dinosaur of a game system and just leave the games behind, but they did. So for at least 5 years, I’ve been clinging on to my games and holding on to hope that I could one day play them again! My mom kept pushing me to throw them out because "They have no use anyway," so after about the 5th time of hearing that, I came on here to look for another SNES system. Okay, who in the eff is going to pay $800 for a buggy machine that can barely read the cartridges anymore? Can somebody tell me? I found this as an alternative at the fair price of $40 and never once has the system let me down! I was in ecstasy the day I took this out of the box. I cleaned all my grimy cartridges with rubbing alcohol and made them as good as new before putting them into this system. Besides for the pins being tight, I have no complaints. I did buy some cable extenders, but the controllers are already 6ft long so I guess you can delegate for yourself if extensions are necessary. The controllers are click-y, but that will probably improve with use over time. My games start up on the first try, no wiggling or blowing and I would recommend this system to anyone!
