Very good ðŸ‘ðŸ‘👠deal and works straight out of the box. Grandkids love it and $250 cheaper than you-know-who switch.

Cool little system! Lightweight and feels kind of cheap but it works great! Plays all my old nes and snes games no problem. I’ve used mine quite a bit already and it hasn’t missed a beat. The controllers are a little chintzy but not too bad. Pretty happy overall!

Got this to replace my dead snes. It works just about the same and I can play my nes games as well.

the SNES is easily my favorite console to this day. the 16 bit graphics were awesome when i was a kid. unfortunately the real deal super nintendo is expensive anymore.. so i bought this to play my old snes games i was not dissapointed.. the retro duo is very lightweight and easy to set up with its ac adapter and av video cord. it may also use the s video if your tv is as old as the console. but it was awesome to see how well it played the games. the first game i played was legend of zelda a link to the past. it was perfect. i felt like i was back in my childhood. i would highly reccomend this console for any gamer and it’s a steal for the price. it also plays most japanese titles as well. BUY IT!!

This works great but I’ve only used it with the 8 bit games. Im been trying to find a multi-game cartridge for 16 bit but havent yet. I’d highly recommend getting controller extensions as the stock ones included will require you to sit within 4-5 feet of the console (just like when you were a kid!!)

For the price, this is a fairly good unit. It doesn’t feel like it’s made of the highest quality materials, but so far it has worked with every game I’ve tried playing. You do have to press the cartridge in pretty firmly to make sure it’s seated correctly, which makes me worry about the long term wear and tear on the cartridges, but it doesn’t get used too much and there isn’t a lot of cart swapping so I don’t expect it to be an issue. It would have been nice to have an HDMI connection instead of just the component inputs, but that’s a minor complaint. It does have an S-Video connection, but the picture is really bad (like there’s a cross-wired pin or something) so I just use the standard RCA video connection. Given that NES and SNES games are not exactly high definition, the RCA is perfectly sufficient. The controllers do feel light and cheap, so expect that. However, the inputs are exactly the same as the standard SNES controllers, so any old SNES controller or a higher end replacement should work fine. The current controllers appear to work fine with no control issues that I’ve experienced so far.Overall, given the fact that this was under $40 at the time of ordering, the unit has exceeded my (admittedly low since I didn’t really expect it to work very well) expectations and I would recommend it to anyone looking to dust off their old school games and go back to a simpler time in their lives.

I just got my Retro Duo a couple days ago & I have played it every day since it arrived. I can say that so far the only drawbacks I see to this system are 1- no compatibility with a few games (check wiki for the list) 2- no duckhunt or zapper games. 3- there is a moderate sound quality issue with some of the NES games, but these are 20+ yr old 8-bit games too! The controllers aren’t bad & I have not had any issues with the system itself so far. I am loving my gaming flashback & if you have younger kids in the house, it’s like a whole new system for them! Plenty of used games available right here on retrolio, so even though it’s not a DeLorean, you can still time travel!

Don’t over-pay for a NES or SNES built 25 years ago. This thing plays old games with little to no fuss. Controllers are great and console is easy to install and operate.

I just got this last night and it is really cool. I couldn’t get my original NES working after trying a few different repairs and decided to give this a try. All my games work. The controllers work fine. I’m not a die-hard gamer, so only being able to use 16-bit controllers is not a problem for me. I would recommend trying it.There are a couple issues, but I’m still giving it five stars. As long as you’re careful with it, it should work exactly as you would like. The game slots are very tight. You have to be careful to insert the games slowly, but with a fair amount of pressure. The build quality is not the best. The plastic is thin and feels like it could break if it’s dropped or too much pressure applied to it.

Very nice console for both platforms. Only had it a short time but works really well. Does not come with included games.
