The system did all that it promised. I was able to play the NES games I’ve had for 25 years. I’m playing with a 2nd. generation, my grandson whose 5 years old and he really likes the games(as long as he can win). I have to pull the games out, because you have to hold the system down with one hand and pull out the game with the other because they hold in really tight., but other than that it’s all good. This system does not blink off and on as the original NES did and it plays the games clear with no snow screen. I like my purchase.

We bought this during the virus era to provide some entertainment for our kids who are sitting home all day. I had my old super nintendo games in my basement from 20 years earlier which somehow all work great. In our first 2 days with this gaming system we played Mario, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, Aladdin, and Sim City. Not only do the kids love it, but my wife and I play at night after they go to sleep! The only installation note is that our TV (because its new) only takes HDMI connections. We had to purchase an RCA to HDMI adapter. Thanks again!

This is a great alternative to for people that don’t want to pay a lot of money for the actual thing, I only have 2 complaints for this console, 1. You can’t use normal ones controllers, You can only play it with super Nintendo controllers, not nes controllers, for most people this wouldn’t be a down side, but with collectors like me, we want the to play it with the real controllers. 2. The controllers SUCK, they are the most flimsy thing I have ever held in my life, and I’m always afraid that I am going to break it.I had to buy my own controller for it. (I bought a propad).

Both NES and SNES slots work great (as long as you have a good working game!!) Which is to do with the games not the system it’s self for the record.. As long as my games are in great shape this is a great item and great price and very happy with my purchase!! Thanks for bringing my childhood back to life.. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to have old school video game fun!!

What an amazing little gizmo! If you like retro games, this is for you. Didn’t worked too well with my Samsung UHD4K. Mainly because it does not have RCA input but Comp. Got sound but no picture. Had to run it via VCR.

Besides the Retron 5, this has the best compatibility on any of the major clone systems. One of my controllers had a bit of a wobbly D-Pad but nothing was drastically wrong. Played all my common SNES and NES carts without any issues. Would recommend for a hobbyist who’s not looking to drop a bunch of money on the two original systems. Great for playing games, but not the best option for a serious collector.

Great product so far. The product looks sharp, and the console feel and the weight makes it feel sturdy. The games cartridges require a little effort to get securely in the slot. The controllers feel a light and flimsy, plus the buttons are backwards. I haven’t used the SNES slot (will add a follow up review down the road). I would recommend this purchase. Playing Tecmo Bowl, Donkey Kong, RBI Baseball, Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles bring me back to the late 80’s, now I just need to listen to some Tesla!!!

At first we had a problem with the sound which is something that can ruin the game experience but with fiddlling it was easily resolved.

This is a great system that can play both NES and SNES games. There are only a few minor gripes that I have with it, one of which can be easily fixed.First, whenever there is a black color on the screen during a game there is a green stripe that cuts through the black vertically down the middle. I’ve tested this with multiple games and it occurred within each of them. You can make the green line fade away a little by jiggling the cartridge around and turning the system back on though I could never manage to make it disappear completely, this green line does not detract from the game play at all and is not distracting. Next (the only big issue) is that the controllers that come with it are pretty terrible. The D-pad feels soft and controlling a game with it isn’t tight like it should be. Pressing up on it can also control left and right unless I pressed the very middle of the up direction without moving my finger slightly to the sides. It’s kind of hard to explain how something like a controller feels, but it’s pretty bad. The good news is that you can actually plug an original SNES controller into the port, so I suggest purchasing one separately to go with this system.This is a cheaper alternative to buying an original NES and SNES separately and it works nicely, just be sure to get yourself an original SNES controller if you want to have a good time with it.

I only bought this for two games, Legend of Zelda and Sailor Moon Another Story. Works great with both, just don’t confuse sound wires like I did. The wires for the controllers are much longer than in the picture and the station itself does seem a little fragile. it’s light and eaisly moved, I wouldn’t put through much of a beating. I also wouldn’t leave plugged in for long periods of time (Overnight), but that’s just me.
