The item came in pretty good condition. There wasn’t anything broken or open when it arrived.

This is a very chill game. The world does feel a bit empty and not much out there, but you are focused on maintaining your store. Buy things, forage things, and sell things. You can decorate your shop after you played in it a bit. You can get married. There are not many people to choose from. I personally find the boys a bit boring but that is my opinion. If you just want something to pick up and play because your bored it is a decent casual game for the price. If you don’t like sitting in a shop and doing repetitive things then this game is not for you. I personally feel the game is unfinished, but it is not a bad game. Just wish there was more to do in it.

I’ve been playing this game for a few days, I have one thing to say, it’s just TOO CUTE!Yeah, it has its cons: the camera is tricky and putting things in display can be a problem , especially if you have many clients, because you have to do it one shelf at a time and adjust the prices each time, also customers are constantly buying so yo have to restock every 2 minutes if you stay at the shop, but it’s a good game to relax and just take it easy, with no fighting or problems. One thing I love is that your character moves very fast (as do all NPC), so you can really go from one end of town to another without getting bored, to say the least. Unlike other games of its kind, like the Ateliers or Rune Factory, there are no monsters, so the only thing you have to worry about is time, which goes at an amaizing speed, I think every 10 seconds is 10 minutes of an hour in the game, and that, trust me, is a good thing, otherwise it’ll just be boring and tedious, and getting the store stock. One more thing to get in mind: there are lots of events in this games, some come as quests in which you hace to find a certain ÃÂtem or talk to someone. You can get really frustrated bcause it seems like nothing happens or you are getting stuck. Trust me, even if you don’t get crazy about finding things or go all over the internet trying to get tips of how to do it, things HAPPEN, you’ll get there. Don’t overstress yourself about it. Relax, take it easy, talk to people, go around town and you’ll fin.

I’ve been playing Hometown Story for 6 hours and have been enjoying it immensely. The game does not provide lengthy tutorials or hold your hand throughout the duration of the experience – you are thrown into the action, (which, for people like me who do not have the attention span for tutorials, this is fantastic!) You are encouraged to explore, take chances, make mistakes, and learn from your experiences. A lot of the game at first is trial-and-error, (such as with pricing stock,) but once you get into the swing of things, the momentum picks up fairly quickly. The characters are interesting and charming. When you begin, the town is a little deserted, but as you continue to play, more villagers will show up and eventually move into the town. I’ve experienced some amusing moments in the game so far, (such as listening to a tale of woe from a talkative scarecrow,) and I am looking forward to discovering more about the town and its residents. The graphics are adorable, (though perhaps too “bubbly” for some). It is reminiscent of more recent Harvest Moon titles, such as A New Beginning, so they will be a matter of preference. The camera is a little bit funky, let’s admit. But I do not find that it detracts significantly from the game experience.I am finding the experience so far to be both frantic, as well as relaxing. When I received my first shop upgrade, for example, I went from displaying 4 items to 19 and found it difficult to keep up with business! However, at the same time, t.

Good: – Simple to understand shop system- The village goes from barely populated to bustling with life over time as your shop’s business improves- TONS of interesting/funny characters move in as the village grows- Very frequent events with characters- Good music (although listening to the shop theme for too long can give you a headache -.-;;)- More character customization than I expected. You can buy magazines that unlock lots of new hairstyles/hair colors, and later on you can have new outfits made for you. You can also buy different wallpapers and tables to use in your shop.- Relaxing atmosphereNeutral: – Somewhat cutesy anime art style: Personally it’s not my favorite, but I don’t mind it. It does make it hard to tell characters’ ages though (I had a lot of “That’s your DAD?!” “That’s your WIFE?!” moments lol).- The shop mechanics could be improved: you can’t close the shop whenever you feel like it, you must set the price of each and every item you put out every time you do it (For example, say you price a strawberry at 50. It would be great if the game remembered this and applied it to every subsequent strawberry you set out, but it doesn’t), you must sell items one by one, etc. This is the first game in the series though so I don’t mind cutting it some slack on that.Bad: – The hands-down main weakness of the game is its lack of tutorials besides a basic rundown of the shop mechanics at the very beginning. This leaves the player with no idea what they can do in the game,.

Great buy. Was cheaper to buy on retrolio brand new than to buy it used in the store.

This game certinally isn’t for everyone and it’s not at all really like harvest moon. If I had to compare it to another game it’s a lot like Resettear, if you like that you’ll like this
