I just picked this up and wow, I regret not making it a day 1 purchase. Solid gameplay, good graphics, catchy music its all there. If you are a fan of other Hotshots golf games or Mario golf this is a must have!

I’m right now half through the game, anyone who wants to play online can add me, my PSN name is maydayofhighbury.So much for that. I personally am a big sports fan, soccer, tennis, baseball, you name it. I have been playing these sports games for a long time. And I played Everybody’s tennis on psp, which is another great game.So this game meets my evey expectation. Gameplay is simple and fun. Picture is very cool, mind-smoothing landscape just like playing real golf. Some maps are very challenging, however, if you failed too many times in one map, then this “easy mode” will come up and you will be enjoying the game itself more than struggling too much.I think this game is the most relaxing and fun game on PS Vita platform so far.

I give this four stars mostly because it gets boring after a while. It is a fun game and the graphics are great. I am not an avid gamer so I am not going to get all technical but it does kill time. I would recommend this game to others as it is pretty fun…in small doses.

I did not buy this game at launch time, but now, having bought it 2 months afterwards, I wish I would have. It has been in my Vita for 3+ weeks. There is plenty to like about the game: The scenery, the characters, the outfits, the equipment, the game play. And yes, there are also a few things to dislike about the game, it does truly stink when you have shot a nearly perfect round, then crash a +9 on the last hole, but you know something? That is the game of golf. If you could do mulligans in the game, then the re-playability would be zero as you’d gold star on every round the first time through it. Don’t like the way the game plays, well, you can spend your points and change that — not just better equipment, but the actual way you aim and take your shots. This is a fun (and frustrating, at times) game, but if you have played any video golf games, and liked them, you will like this one. Also, it is very nice to be able to play and pause as needed, then restart right where you left off.

This game is another great addition to the Hot Shots Golf franchise. While it was a 5 Star for fun, it was 4 stars based on content. The two prior Hot Shot Golf games seem to have more to offer. And this being the cutting edge of PS’ new toy, you think that the Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational would have been the culmination of greatness. Even with that said, well worth $29.99. Graphics are great, players are memorable, and courses are fun. If you own the prior two, you need to get this one. Lets hope PS will make the two last games available for download to play on your Vita.

played it for about 30 minutes and it’s a good fun game and if you ever played hot shots then you will be familiar with it. i did not give 5 stars as i was expecting a little more from this. I was lucky to get this for $30 from retrolio before they raised to $40. At $30 it’s worth it but if i paid $40 i would not be singing the same tune

This is still one of the best PS Vita games out there in it’s library. Yes it’s a golf game but a very well made golf game at that.Many unlockables include new characters, golf courses, golf clubs, accessories, etc. There’s a lot to earn that’ll keep you playing.Graphics are charming and fit the PS Vita perfectly especially on the OLED screen. Music is very calming so you don’t get easily distracted while aiming.Controls are responsive but the gameplay… Good God the gameplay can be "Dark Souls" frustrating. Factors that can make you miss your mark includes weather, aim, precision, club of choice and sometimes you still get a Bogey.Let’s just say if you’re a regular raging gamer who easily loses his temper, then you might want to invest in a protective shell for your PS Vita. Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational may induce such rage that will send your beloved handheld device flying higher than a "NICE SHOT" into a hole in… A wall.

I have played every single HSG game that has ever been made, starting with PS1, then on PS2, PS3, and PSP. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them. HSG: WI does not do anything new, which was slightly surprising and disappointing, but it continues the high standards and traditions of HSG franchise nicely. You can consider this game a mini-PS3 version as the characters are properly-proportioned (instead of having huge heads like Open Tee 1 & 2 on PSP). Gameplay does not deviate at all, although you do get minor changes such as the ability to choose your swing type; you can decide whether to use the swing meter or the circle-swing mechanic (as in the PS3 version “Out of Bounds”). There are 2 other new swing types which I have not unlocked yet so I’m not sure how well they work.Overall, the gameplay is as solid as ever, the visuals are sharp and crisp, and at the end of the day, this remains one of the best franchises I have ever played, and definitely a must-have for the PS Vita!
