Classic work, although some observations relating to working the ball are a bit passé since modern equipment is designed for straight shots.

I read this book years ago and it is how I learned that when I hit the ball, whether it was hit right or wrong, I knew what I did right or wrong and why the ball did what it did. When you see how Jack played the game and then take his lessons here and apply them, you realize why he was one of the best if not the best. This book is practical and will be as long as the game of golf is played. I’d recommend this book to anyone just starting out playing or who has even played the game for a while. Now that I’m getting back to playing, I’m reading it again. More than reading, my first book I highlighted throughout and doing so again.

And his book is an excellent read for anyone who plays the game. Jack shares an awful lot of what made him the greatest golfer of his time (and I’m still not convinced of all time). Having owned the original, the revised version is even better. This book is a must for any golfer’s library.
