It was a lot of fun. There are more questions with this version than the first edition.

You know how you play Jeopardy while it is on along with anyone else who is watching it. Actually play Jeopardy with the host Alex Trebeck(I have no idea how to spell it).He does a good job with it and it is always a great sensation when you hear him say, “That’s correct.” Jeopardy is loaded with question no one knows to questions a 3 year old knows. This is an excellent party game for 3 players.

As weird as it may seem, this “educational game” is one of the most entertaining video games I have played. The only drawback I found was the controller configuration. Unlike some other PS1 games [such as YDKJ] where 2 people can use seperate “buzzer buttons” on one shared controller, Jeopardy requires one controller for each player, so you need a multi-tap to have 3 players. Although, other than that, Jeopardy is awesome. The questions are like that of “Teen Challenge Jeopardy”, so the stupifyingly hard ones are left out of this game. Many are word-hint questions with catagories like “Starts and ends with ‘L'” and “3-letter words”. Some of the more difficult catagories usually have slightly out-of-place phrases in them which hint at their answers. The options also help to adapt the game to match your knowledge level. You can control the computer contestants difficulty level anywhere from idiots who only correctly answer 3 or 4 questions, medium average joe level, to super hard competitive challenges. You can also set the amount of time you have to “buzz-in” and the amount of time you have to type in your answer. Another optional feature is the very helpful “Answer Auto Complete”. With this feature turned on, as you type, options appear that match the letters you are typing. You can select it to automatically type the answer that pops up, so you don’t have to peck at each letter. The game also includes some neat other features. Not only is there interesting questions.

This is a great game! My wife and I play it almost every day. We like it so much that we just bought the original playstation game (just in case we eventually run out of questions in this one). This game is somewhat difficult and I would only recommend it for adults and teenagers. Let’s say that on a scale of 1 thru 10 (10 being the hardest) that the TV gameshow questions have a difficulty rating of 10. The questions on the video game would then have a difficulty rating of about 7.5. My wife knows more trivia then I do, but I am better at guessing (often the way the answers are written help significantly in guessing the correct response) and we manage to play very close games. We’ve played about 50 games. We’ve each won about 20 games and the computer player has won about 10.The auto-complete feature makes the game much more playable. The game maintains an "internal dictionary" of words that make up all of the correct answers. When you type in one or more letters of a word that it recognizes, it will display the first word in the dictionary that matches this pattern (which may not be part of the correct response) and will allow you to choose that word if you want. This really helps those of us who can’t spell long words. The game can be somewhat picky as to what it will accept as a correct answer. For example, if your response is plural (i.e. has an S at the end) and it expects singular, it may (or may not) tell you that you’re incorrect. During play, Ale.

About two months ago I registered online to be on Jeopardy’s TeenTournament. It said if you’re picked they’ll call. So they called me and said my name had been chosen at random. And I had to be in Houston to have an interview, take the contestant exam, and play a mock version of the game. So I tried to look for a video game that would let me practice for the audition. I played it and it is really helping me play the game well.
