Only problem I have is the case won’t hold on to the second disc. Open it to see the disc just lying there. Great otherwise.

They are great. Was skeptical about condition of item due to how it was listed, but when it arrived it was way beyond my expectations and I thank them for how amazingly it has been preserved. Also was estimated to come in 3 weeks, but it only took 5 days.

Parasite Eve’s best feature is probably the story. It’s hard to put down. You really want to play as long as possible just to see how the story will reveal itself. I like this one better than Parasite Eve II. The second game has better graphics, but you lose the ability to customize/modfiy your equipment. Setting up your own unique equipment is a huge factor in enjoying the game. Too bad the game is a little bit short. But you can got through it a second time. It’s actually better the second time around, even though the monsters get tougher. You can allocate more bonus points and effects to your weapon to compensate somewhat. I highly recommend this game. Especially to someone new to this type of game. Moving Aya around in this first game is a very simple task, unlike in PEII. The story is so involving that you would become a big fan of RPGs.

if you never played it, you need to play it. Classic PS1 game worth the time and effort. Very interesting and unique battle system (at the time but also rarely duplicated).

I would still have my original copy if I didn’t give it to a buddy for stepping on one of his games. A MUST play for any horror or Squaresoft fan! Also if you can try to find a copy of the movie. It tells the story of what happens in Japan before PE.

Parasite Eve is an action role-playing video game. Movement in the various environments is free. Movement in the "world map" (which is a map of Manhattan) is limited to specific destinations. Upon the player walking over a "hot spot", there’s a chance of a random encounter. Each time the encounter occurs, the likelihood of the battle reoccurring decreases. Enemies materialize suddenly and though there is no shift to a separate battle screen, the player is bound within a perimeter of unseen barriers until the battle is over, either by defeating all enemies or using the Escape command. In battle, the game uses a Pausable real-time combat system. In Parasite Eve, the player has an "Active Time Bar" (ATB) that sets the time for every turn to take action. While waiting for her turn, the player character Aya can be moved around to dodge enemy attacks. Upon each turn, the player may choose between attacking with their equipped weapon by pressing the attack button, using PE (Parasite Energy) for defense, assistance, or attack, using items, changing weapon or armor, or escaping the battle. If the player chooses to attack, the battle briefly pauses and a dome/sphere symbolizing the range of the weapon appears, allowing the player to target an enemy within range. If the enemy is outside of the range, the shot is likely to fail. Even if the shot lands, the damage will be less than normal. When the player decides to use Parasite Energy, they must choose from the men.
