Uhhhhhhhh……. HARD!!!! this game is insanely hard but I reccomend it to everyone that likes a challenge. I can barely get to the 3rd level but its pretty fun there are so many secret areas it always keeps the game new and fresh it never becomes old and repetitive it is probably one of the most hardcore games on the NES so you have to get this game if you dont already have it

When the Nintendo Entertainment System was released in late 1985 to much critical acclaim, Kid Icarus was one of the first games to grace everyone’s homes. Your hero, Pit, is responsible for taking down the evil Medusa. But in order to do so, he must progress through 4 worlds: the Underworld, the Overworld, the Skyworld, and the Palace In The Sky. Each world is divided into 4 sections (with the exception of the Palace In The Sky).As you begin the game in the vertical-scrolling Underworld, Pit will need to explore every open door with the many surprises that await him. There’s the Enemy Room, the Treasure Room (you can earn a credit card if you shoot all of the treasure bags that don’t contain the Reaper), the Training Room (this allows Pit to acquire 3 special weapons: the Fire Arrow, the Holly Bow, and the duo Protective Crystals), 2 different Shopkeeper’s Rooms (you can purchase the Hammer, Water Of Life, Barrel, Glass Of Wine, or Angel Wing), the God’s Room (he’ll upgrade your Arrow if you’ve killed enough enemies), and the Hot Springs room (which can refill Pit’s Life Meter). Furthermore, the more points that you rack up at the end of every level, the sooner that Pit’s life bar will expand (to a maximum of 5).By the time that you reach Stage 1-4, you will encounter many moore booby traps, and you will need to acquire the Check Sheet (or Map), Pencil and Torch to make it through to the boss. But watch out for the Eggplant Wizard — he’ll turn Pit into an eggplant,.

This game is like no other in-house Nintendo game on the NES . . . or any other NES game, period. Each major world phases from vertical scroller to horizontal scroller to fortress maze. It’s a demanding platformer with lots of deadly pitfalls, but it also requires you to rack up the EXP for health and weapon upgrades, and the fortress levels are about as esoteric as something in a puzzle game. To conquer the fortresses, you have to free lots of little winged centurions whilst avoiding wizards who try to turn you into a walking eggplant, and finally, you and the airborne warriors you rescued must band together to slay the fortress boss. The ultimate level of the game, inexplicably, is a horizontal SHMUP.It’s a little hard at first, but very rewarding (and quite a bit easier) once you get past the first few levels. It’s got good variety and a fair amount of challenge, not to mention a ton of weirdness. Too bad they never made a sequel till now, and too bad they had to make it 3DS only!

This is one of my all time favorites, the game came in EXCELLENT condition and booted right up with no blinking screens on my NES system. This game is very challenging and enjoyable. This is a must have title for any of you NES retro collectors out there. There are some NES titles that are a "must have" for any true NES fan. Zelda, Metroid, Ring King, Tag Team Wrestling, Bionic Commando, Pro Wrestling, Mike Tyson’s Punchout, Super Mario 1, 2, and 3, Bionic Commando and of course Kid Icarus. Very satisfied with shop as well as my purchase.
