This is a fun game. It plays much like god of war, and the ability to mix in magic is awesome. The graphics are not that great, they are OK. The storyline is solid, the characters are good, and the voice acting is decent. The only problem I have with the game is that there is no compass or directional mission help of any kind. I get lost or go in circles too much. The cut scenes are actually pretty cool, and they fit the game well. This game will not change the gaming world, but it is fun to play. It’s not perfect, but it is a lot better than what most magazines give it credit for.

Ok im gonna get this out of the way i read the ign review and it got a 4.5 which equals awful. I bit the bullet and bought it anyway as i like these types of games and i can say without a doubt ign got it wrong. This game is similar to god of war, devil may cry, dantes inferno, and bayonetta it is a button mashing action game with qte’s its not trying to reinvent the wheel. The story so far is good im getting into it the graphics are decent but i will say the pictures on the internet and the box look way better than the actual game. Ign said the combat sucked i find that if your not using the right spells then yes it does. When you do find the right spell combat is so much easier especially once you get the timing of the kills down. The combat is pretty repetitive but its fun to do so i dont think playing this in spurts would be bad. On a final note this game is getting alot of hate it does not deserve check it out for yourselves dont trust pro reviewers or me for that matter just try it.
So im at like chapter 6 out of 20 and i will up date my review about this game when i finish.StoryYou play as heigrich who used to chop of the heads and burn at the stakes the humans that were convicted to be witches. before one of the witches named gretal dies she curses heigrich with immortality. The wiches get reserected and all want revenge on mankind. gretal keeps to the code of the witches whitch is to protect humanity. you are teaming up with with gretal to stop the other witches from destroying mankind.gameplayits kindof like a darksiders/god of war. You use a sythe and you can also uses gretals magic spells to help you defeat enimies. you playing as heigrich cant die…and i mean you cant die if you get you body chopped up into pieces or get injured to where you go down you have to tap x to get back up…..and this can get really enoying because if gretal dies the game is over and she is dumb sometimes in stead of trying to stay back she will run in the middle of the enimies…shes not the smartest witch in the world lol….. you can carry gretal to have her health regain and the injuries you have also go away. at the beggining your going to be carrying gretal around most of the battles till you get used to the combat. i still have to do it now sometimes pick her up and run around trying to dodge the enimies so her health will regain. you collect souls from smashing stuff and killing enimies hwitch you can use to level up you magic spells. the gameplay can get enno.
I bought this game yesterday despite the horrendous review by IGN. They gave KC 3.5 which equals to AWFUL. Having bought and playing this game I have to say KC doesn’t deserve a 3.5. I would at least give it 7.0.It is true that KCis similar to GoW but what Action Adventure games nowadays doesn’t? Remember Darksider? Castlevania Lord of Shadows? Ring any bells boys? So why punish KC with such a bad score? From my perspective, the graphic is a so so. It’s not a standout like GoW but graphic alone doesn’t make a good game. I just have to say that the facial expression and lips movement and sync could be better. They do not really potray the emotion of the characters as supposed. Speaking of gameplay, it is cool but can be improved. The spells are awesome but more could be added. The fighting style of Heinrich is good but can be improved too. What I love the most is the story. It is about witchhunt and the innocent witches that had been murdered came back for revenge. One of them came back with pure heart abided to the Witch’s Code to stop her avenging sisters. It keeps me glued to the game and covers all the small flaws. Regarding people who complaint that Gretchen clings too much to Heinrich, hey it is part of its gameplay that sets it apart from GoW and the other knock-offs.My verdict: BUY THIS ONE!

A Good Game, but not great.I find this combat style much better than my recently traded Prince of Persia. The balance of of fighting and magic work well together, its not to acrobatic but has a nice balance of moves. Good story and I am interested in the characters. The finishing moves are powerful and nice to look at.What I didn’t like is some of the model rendering, It is not very solid, in some instances you can see right thru Gretchen’s head.The maps are a bit unclear and it takes time to learn were you are in the game. In some reviews by other players they have complained about how easily Gretchen dies.The system’s AI doesn’t do a good job of making her protect herself, but the way I see it; Your the Knight, it’s your job to protect her while fighting off the villains.It’s not that hard, once you learn how to fight and use magic.I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Reviewers nowadays seem to be lazy and just prefer the illness of modern gaming : FPS. Most of the gaming sites panned the game for being mediocre. Well let me tell you, in my case, the grade of accomplishment I felt after beating the last boss was great because the game can get really hard sometimes but you just have to keep trying and learning the different powers that you have.Graphics might be not that good, the control can be a little unresponsive and the difficult curve is gonna kick your behind every now and then but for me, its a good thing, it just remind me of those old games on the NES where you did not have continues but after your beat it you could just brag about it.The story is really good, a dark fantasy setting based on the German legend of Faust, with witches, horrible creatures and magic, the music is your typical orchestra, the CG are amazing and the length that it will take you to complete can be clocked at 10 to 12 hours depending on your skill.After finishing it, you can unlock new weapons and costumes for the main characters and new difficulties.If you liked Demon’s Souls for its setting and difficult you’re gonna find a great game here, just a word of advice and something that bothered me, the QTE (Quick Time Events) are sometimes really difficult to pull not because you’re slow but because you have to press the requested command in the fraction of second that it appears, so just be careful with that and you’re gonna enjoy a nice old school game.Don’t.

Game was fun, and story was pretty good. attack and fighting mechanics were awesome. Graphics were a bit disappointing considering it is a ps3 game and it came out in like 2011/2012. All in all this game was a lot of fun to play and Platinum
