Look, if any of us have ever played ninja gaiden sigma on any mode other than normal we all know that it is difficult. The game has a learning curve that is pretty steep. Lair is no different. People it takes time to learn how to fly, fight, and so on. Go through the training mode a couple of times. Make sure you can do everything on your own. Last but not least please do not write a review unless you have played or own the game, and have played the game for a number of hours. I have read the negative reviews, and I disagree with their accusations on the tilt axis. The controller is sensitive and requires some getting used to, but it works well. Do not write lair off as a bad game just because you can’t get the hang of the tilt axis. Man or woman up and learn!Visually: one word stunning!!! Rich in depth colors, beautiful character designs, engaging environmentsSound: Music score is beyond words. Very compelling, and vibrantReplay value: You get to fly a dragon and kill things…C’MON!!!!! High replay valueStory: Draws you into the story from frame 1. Religions and cultures clashing. ClassicOverall: Lair is a good game that has shown some of the PS3’s real potential. I have no bias as I own a PS3 XBOX360 and Wii. I will have to say that I am putting down the wii and the xbos for a good long while!!!

good game. the graphics are phenominal, but the game play is a bit challenging. game story is very deep and worth some of the frustration reaching each. lock on system and the goals of each level can be a bit confusing, but overall still a solid game. i did enjoy heavenly sword much more.

First off rent or buy this for its many merits and your feelings towards a third person dragon flight sim personally. The hype machine took its toll on this title but I think it will stand on its own over time considering that LAIR delivers on many levels the production values as is standard on PS3 from my experience are top notch. Voice acting, cinematics, storyline, ambiance all rate above average. There is a nice set of 12 tutorials that allows everyone to get a feel for the mildly complex controls. The game is set up like and plays somewhat like ROGUE SQUADRON different level medals for each mission etc, unlockable dragons etc. With God of War style button matching combat and other varied moves such as TAKEDOWN, The controls are smooth and responsive, firmware 1.93 is recommended for best results.(THIS IS POSSIBLY WHY SO MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS) however in the heat of action the 180 degree turn just doesn’t want to work for me and usually sends me dashing instead arrggh! If you can embrace the somewhat shallow arcade like feel of the game overall and not long for the RPG like qualites of say a DRAGONRIDERS OF PERN then you will find a satisfying meal of mead and meat at this gaming table. My biggest compaint is that rider and dragon appear small and I wanted more of feeling of being on the dragon.Other than that though a great fantasy setting and flight controls with a nice variety of missions will hold your attention rapt. The single person campaign could have been longer a.

Once in a while a game is considered awesome; otherwise there are tons of just good games. This game is definitely awesome. The control is good, the quality is great and game play is very compelling. You’ll find it very hard to even take breaks from this game.

If you are reading this, you are probably wondering why so many users say this game is good while reviewers say it’s bad.Simple, it’s a creative game made for users, not for reviewers! Now, the game is a bit harsh when it comes to the learning curve, you do need to master the controls to be able to finish it, and yes, the dang back flip is a pain to accomplish, but other than that the game is VERY good, it has stunning graphics, which show off what the PS3 can do, and the controls are very precise when it comes to turning, diving or rising, you intuitively know how much to tilt the controller to go where you want to go. Now I’ve seen other reviewers say, controls are not responsive because the dragon takes a bit to turn, well, I have to differ, if you look closely, the dragon’s head faces where he is going to turn, before actually turning, and that is immediate, so there is no real unresponsiveness, just think of turning a tank, you know where you want to turn it to, it just takes a while because it’s HEAVY.All in all, I was not disapointed with the game, actually I was surprised how good it was after such harsh reviews. If you like dragons and want to ride one, and don’t mind moving your arms in doing so, then go for it!

I have not been able to find one other game as challenging, as beautiful – or as fun! I wish so bad they would come out with another version. The ONLY problem was that the controllers were new when the game came out and people didn’t update like they needed to and or never learned how to use controllers without the cord! This game is full of adventure surprises and humor unlike one reviewer thought there are no “cheat codes” but there are some fun secrets – I don’t want to ruin one but if you haven’t yet ridden the Dragon much like “Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang” you haven’t seen all that this game has to offer yet! The work that went into the graphic beauty and phenomenal sound track is something that players are only now beginning to appreciate since the controllers are now better understood. Don’t miss this game if you have a PSP 3 in fact write to the makers and beg for Lair 2 – you will want it as bad as I do if you give this a chance!

Das Spiel ist nicht mehr das neuste, aber es hat Klasse. Gute Grafik und spannende Story. Was will man mehr.

I recently purchased the 40BG PS3 system and Lair. I have to say that even without an HDTV or surround sound, the visual and acoustic experience is phenomenal. I found the controls easy to pick up and use. The Lock-on system can be difficult to master, but I find my attacks land home where I want them to with a little practice. There are a couple downside however. Occasional glitches, and the story is too short. The glitches include animation delays in 1 on 1 duels with opposing dragons, but they were few and I had no trouble overlooking those. Some cutscenes in a couple levels interrupt the flow of play, but again, I’m not so picky as to let that trivial issue ruin my day. The biggest disappointment to me was that the story was too short. I got through the majority of it in one long sitting, and am eager for more.I’ve enjoyed this game fully, and have found it worth every penny for the system and game. I can’t wait to try it out in HD or surroundsound. I feel it will be worth another day-long sitting to play through the story again with that added level or realism.Just remember if you buy this game, its not an RPG, the controls are easy to learn with a little patience, story is great but shorter than you might like, and take your time. You’re not flying a mach-3 fighter Jet.I’ve always been a Nintendo fanboy, but Lair has shown me the true beauty, literally and otherwise, of the PS3.

lair is a great game, you just need to learn how to play first. it is abotu 4 times better on hd but still very playable in sdef. overall well worth it despite what has been said about it. a great game, especially the fantastic story and design of the world.
