I love this game it is so fun. But every friend that has come to play it including my brother have all said the same thing, “Dude this sixaxis thing is stupid”. All I have to say is get over it Im so glad they finally put the motion sensor to good use and with an awesome game at that. I bought this and heavenly sword around the same time and I love this one so much more. So if you want a new creative game then you should pick this up but if ur one of the people who waited to buy a game as lame ond overrated as halo 3 then you probly wouldnt like it so go play on ur crap box.

I purchased this game with Warhawk expecting this game to leave Warhawk in the background. To my suprise the results are reversed. That being said I must say that this game is not as bad as some of the reviews that were left. Honestly the game’s concept is very cool, there were just few things that really got on my nerves. First, the dialog in the game is very very corney almost intended for a young player which was wierd after seeing the trailer for it and percieved it as a very intense adult targeted game. The next thing is that it is fairly slow paced. The dragon does not have the ability to turn on a dime, and flys relatively slow.ProsGreat GraphicsGreat Sound (dispite the dialoge)Very unique controlsGround Breaking conceptConsCheesy DialogA little boring if not in a tightly enclosed battle areaWould have been better with a Mature ratingRent this one……

Other reviews say that the graphics are very good but I do not agree… the colors used for landscapes scream at you that this is a game for a new console… Where have you seen a mountain with bright green and hard brown? The controls are very difficult at the beginning, but you’ll get used to them after the bridge mission. The history is not bad but won’t win any prize if it’s written down on a book.Any way, I gave this game 4 stars because it’s really fun but only after you master the controls. Burning, slaughtering and eating troops with your dragon is the best feature of this game.

I honestly don’t understand people’s gripes with the motion control. I’ve downloaded the most recent "patch" that adds joystick support but still play it using six axis. I would buy this game for this price for the dragon designs alone.

I heard bad things about this game, saying the controls were horrible and the game was unplayable. But the analog patched controls are fine. I found that the game was fun and very entertaining it even had a good story. I figured out that I like it because it plays like the Rouge Squadron games on N64 and GameCube, The only difference is that you are flying on a dragon instead of an x-wing etc. So if like like those or any other flight combat game this game will not disappoint.

What’s the problem people? I really don’t understand what all the negative reviews are all about. I almost didn’t give LAIR a try because of all the bad reviews. My 10 year old son and I popped this beauty in our new PS3 and within a few minutes were having a blast. Yes the controls are tricky at first and take a bit of getting used to, but that’s what makes this game so special. You don’t just sit down and start shooting away mindlessly. You actually have to take time(I know that is tough for some) and learn a new way of controling the action and believe me, once you do, hang on tight because you are in for a really wild ride and it’s worth it. Lair also includes an in game tutorial/traing center where you can visit as needed to hone your dragon riding/attacking skills. Not only is LAIR extremely addictive and fun to play, but it also looks and sounds amazing. You will love being able to fly your dragons around this beautifully crafted game. My son and I have been playing LAIR for a few days now and really find it hard to put down. My wife even gave it a try and was “Mesmerized” as she put it. So, if you have a bit of patience, love flying around on dragons while roasting some bad guys, and don’t mind learning a new way to control the action, then do not hesitate to give LAIR a try. Believe me you will not be disappointed. Have fun flying!

Lots of control to learn but ok.

I read some of the reviews before I got this game, so I was a bit leery, but since there isn’t that much else out for the PS3 yet (hurry up Sony) and since it made exclusive use of the Sixaxis technology, I really wanted to check it out.I’m glad I did. I like the game, and I don’t have any problems with the controls. They work exactly as they are meant to. You think they went through all the development and money and hard work on this game, only to release it with crappy controls that don’t work half the time? Seriously, people. This is a game with a control scheme pretty much unlike anything you’ve played before. That means it may take you a while to get used to it. The tutorials are there for a reason. I spent about 45 minutes running through the tutorials a few times each. I too had a little trouble with the 180 and Dash moves, but if you spend a few minutes to practice them in the tutorial selection area, where you can just fly around on your own, you’ll get the hang of it in no time. That said, when you actually start playing the missions, you can’t get too excited, as flailing around with the controller is going to get you nowhere and will probably cause you to think this game sucks, when it doesn’t. Be calm and in control, just as you would need to be if you were riding and controlling a real dragon in battle. I like the fact that there’s a ton of crap happening all over and that there’s no navigation system. Makes it more realistic.Like others have said, the.

I love this game! While achieving a high rank on some of the levels can prove to be a daunting task, I enjoy being able to play as a dragon rider and engage in fantastical combat. Not only do I enjoy the game play, but unveiling the story is a real treat all in itself. I recommend this for any fantasy gamer/dragon lover.

To those who were expecting a jet flight sim, expect dissapointment. The controls, once you spend more than 15 minutes learning them, behave as one would expect of a dragon rider riding a big creature, and are quite intuitive.Just remember, you are riding a dragon, you are not the dragon. The “laggy controls”, as some people have said, are expected.. If you don’t think so, go ride a horse, see how well he responds..Given ample time to learn the controls, this game is a blast.. If you don’t own it, don’t plan to own it, owned it for 15 minutes and returned it, too bad for you. A lot of us are enjoying this game quite a bit. The only reason I didn’t give it 5-stars is because it suffers the same as a lot of games now days — too short..
