I’ve heard about issues with the sound quality but mine sounds great. It must be an issue with TV compatibility.

I bought this to play classic NES games that weren’t available in the Nintendo Classic Mini, such as Pictionary and Rad Racer. Both games work perfectly with this system. I haven’t had any problems with it. Since the system only came with controllers for the SNES, I did have to buy some for NES. I found a set of two here on retrolio for $12. Now I have my siblings asking me where I got it.

I really like this item. I was able to play the large majority of my games on this system. I had only minor issues with the picture, as there are sometimes some slight digital line graphical errors. Not enough to detract from playing the game, but it is there nonetheless. Some games look incredible with the improved fidelity, where the colors can pop much more than they did on old televisions. Not everything works perfectly though. The Game Genie worked with most games, but not at all with some (ie Super Street Fighter 2). Also, I could not get Virtua Racing for the Genesis to work at all. I like the design of the front with the cover, but it is cheaply made, as the front cover door broke with one small drop to the floor. I like the fact that the box that it comes in is equipped with a handle, which makes it the ideal box for storage and transport. My only other gripe is that there seems to be a slight input lag in some games such as Alladin, where timing is crucial in some stages.

This was, admittedly, an impulse buy. I dug around and found my old Genesis things stored away from my last move. I was so excited only to find out that my new TV can’t run my Genesis at all. I did a bit of research, checked my bank, and made a gamble. It’s only been a few days, but I did want to say that so far, it runs all of the games I’ve tried to near perfection. Sounds great, colors pop well. The only issue I’ve had with any game on here is that the 2 player competition mode on Sonic 2 looks slightly janky. But it’s playable and the rest of the game is perfect. The controllers it comes with are nice, and being able to use ones I own is a GREAT feature. The only downside is that one controller I’ve used the most as a kid seems to not be recognized properly, with the start button seeming to be mapped to the down on the movement pad. But that’s a minor issue, and to be expected as it’s a 3rd party controller. It’s a bit early for me to insist others buy it. I’ll update if things change, but as it stands it’s a great copy console that can be used on TVs with HDMI inputs. Hoping this system lasts! Can’t wait to show my buddies and to play some oldies together!

This product works fantastic and so far I have no complaints. The setup is super easy as well. It seems to be slightly delicate so take the extra second to make sure whatever you’re plugging into it is lined up correctly, especially the games so nothing gets bent or cracks. I also bought the 143 in 1 NES Super Games Multi Cart(LINK BELOW) which works perfectly. It includes Zelda, Super Mario, and a bunch of other fan favorites.

I own Reto-Bit’s Retro Supercade and was excited to get my hands on the Super Retro Trio 3 HD edition. I was not disappointed! I actually got 3 multicart’s and a wireless controller and put the system inside my home arcade unit for times when I feel like playing some old school games with a controller. It’s a great plug and play system, no complaints!!!

Everything shipped on time from the vendor. The unit itself was everything I expected. The sound was great and the graphics looked as I expected it to look with the exception of some games looking slightly different with the change in the aspect ratio. Nothing really bad it just took a bit to get used to graphics, primarily with games like Tetris that uses shapes. It was all worth it to get my games to be used on my 65 inch widescreen TV via the HDMI connection. If you are looking for an all in one this one seems like a bargain. I have not tried a Sega Genesis cartridge but NES and SNES worked without issue.

I bought this to replace my brother’s defected Retron 5 (it’s NES & SNES connector pins easily came out!), & so far this console is working alright. For all 3 cartridge ports connector pins seem secure. In the Genesis port I tried Toy Story in it as a test & it worked without any problems. For the SNES I tried Batman Forever in it & it worked but however it was crashing at times but the problem wasn’t the system it because it been a while the cartridge was cleaned, so afterwards I tried Primal Rage in it & it worked as well, & for it connector was cleaned a couple weeks ago I had no problems. And for the NES I tried the Super Mario Bros. + Duck Hunt combo cartridge, it been a year or so I cleaned it inside but it played as a charm! The sound from all 3 sounded alright.I could’ve gave it 5 stars but for it have no eject to eject the cartridges out so I gave it 4. lol

Overall Super Retro Trio seems like a quality solution for playing old cartridges. I have a bunch of Nintendo games my son is always asking me about. But until now I had no way to play them.I looked at several retro gaming consoles and this one seemed like it had the best reviews and I can see why. The console itself seems well made. It is about the same size as the original Nintendo. It is lighter, but it doesn’t feel flimsy. The included HDMI cable seems to be of good quality and fit snugly into both the console and my TV.The games feel a little tight sliding into and out of the system. My son needed some help pushing them in and pulling them out. I could see this causing an issue in the future if kids wiggle and torque the games too much and damage the console. The controllers definitely don’t feel as well made as the original SNES controllers. They are lighter and feel more flimsy but they work well. The buttons are springy and firm and have good response. The SNES controllers that are included will work with Genesis and NES games too, and the button mapping is well done. For instance, they chose the right buttons for NES to allow you to easily hold down run and jump at the same time in Super Mario Bros. I think these controllers are good enough that there is no need to buy third-party ones. However, the wires that attach them to the system are short, so if you want more freedom you should consider a wireless SNES controller. There are also ports that allow you to plug in y.

This seems like a great product. I’ve tested a few games of each type and they all have worked fine. The picture looks great at 720p and the sound is pretty close. The controller is ok but I’ve tested NES and SNES controllers on it and they work properly. This product is using actual hardware and not software emulation to play the games. A great option at a good price for retro gamers looking to upgrade to HD and still play the original cartridges. We’ll see if it stands up to the test of time but right now I’m loving my Super Retro Trio Plus.
