My son and I play this game together. He’s a 4-year old who can’t get enough of the Batman/Marvel universe, and this game is PERFECT for us.For starters, the controls are simple enough to grasp and my little guy was up and running after a few short game sessions. Since we only play for 30 minutes at a time, it’s nice that we can finish a level/stage and he feels accomplished when I say it’s time to stop playing. The graphics are great – bright, fun, and movie like. Since we also watch the accompanying movie – a lot – it’s nice that the game looks like what he watches on TV and he gets to play out the movie on his own.Like I mentioned before, the controls are easy to get a hang of and the camera never gets in your way. I remember playing through the first Batman game demo and if one of the characters went too far to one side of the screen, it would pull the other player off buildings, bridges…which was incredibly frustrating for my son. I’m glad the camera splits, and the developers did it effectively. We haven’t finished the single player campaign yet, but this game certainly has re-play value. If you’re looking for a game to play with your kids, this game should be at the top of your list. From my perspective, I’m a Call of Duty/Battlefield/Splinter Cell type gamer, the game is fun, fast-paced, and it keeps me interested in collecting gold bricks and unlocking characters. I might not have purchased this game if I didn’t have a little guy, but I’m glad I did. I’m looki.

This game is just like the other lego games: a lot of fun!Pros: This is the first of the lego games to really offer voice acting, and this really improves the story and cut scenes. Graphics are great.Cons: When playing multiplayer, the split-screen is a huge headache and I can’t stand it. I really didn’t like that about the game

My favorite video game of all time is the first Lego Batman game, so I was super excited to see a sequel! This game is really fun as well. The only change I would make is the elimination of the dynamic split screen. This pertains more to the latest round of Lego games. While some find this feature eases co-op play, it actually takes a bit of the fun out of the game for me. I have an inner ear condition and am prone to vertigo. The dynamic split screen has made me so queasy on occasion that I had to stop playing the game and crawl to bed to lie down in the dark. I think the best plan with these games is to make this a selectable feature. That way, those who prefer the split can enjoy it, but those of us who would rather have both characters tethered together than opt for that setup. As I said, this is not really a criticism of Batman 2 – just a point of contention with Lego. It is my hope that future Lego games will incorporate this as an option.

I had never played a lego game before, so I thought I would try this one. It is very fun! I enjoy the fun interface and the general hints throughout the game in case you don’t know what to do. This will be a fun addition to our Xbox library.

All of the LEGO series video games get better graphics, story and gameplay. Some would argue it’s more of the same with each, but if you master one, you can typically master them all. This game is the first of the series with voice dialog, which if you play with the sound off, is exactly like previous games. There is so much to look at with these newer graphics, it can sometimes be overbearing than previous titles. The story of villains working together is really good and the superheroes stepping on each others egos is cool too. I’m about 3/4 through the main story, enjoying it so far!

Lego Batman 2 is very good game for all ages. I own all the Lego Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman games. My 8 year old begged me to get this game after he a saw a demo at Comic-con. One bug I found is the unreadable disc error. After some research, it seems either an update from Xbox live or when you install the hero pack into the Xbox console will give you the unreadable disc error. Prior to this, it worked fine. There is nothing wrong with the disc. You will need to sign out of Xbox live. Load the game after signing out. Once the game loads and appears, log back to Xbox live and you are all set. This is very annoying; hopefully, some update will fix this issue. Other than that, it is a great game. Hope this info helps.
