LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is in its top form on the 3DS. Despite the lack of cooperative multiplayer, it’s a simple but fun portable gaming experience. The 3D really is a big addition in this case, as well, allowing you to see environments more clearly and complete jumps that would otherwise be much more difficult. I purchased this because I’ve always liked the Lego games. Yes it doesn’t have co-op which sucks but it’s still a solid game with a good amount of replay value. The graphics are some of the best on the 3DS so far, it looks like a Wii game(or better) right in your hands. The depth the 3D effect gives you works so perfectly too, it helps make jumping onto platforms so much easier. I think this is also one game you could play for hours and not get the common eye strain people complain about with the 3DS. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone considering it especially if you like other Lego games. It’ll keep you plenty busy since it goes through all four of the Pirates movies. Plus after you beat the story mode you can go back into the stages to collect all the collectibles using characters you’ve unlocked.
