My son didn’t think he’d like this game because he hasn’t really seen a lot of Star Wars movies and he thought…Lego…video game…really Mom? The Light Saber controllers intrigued him though so he gave it a try. He really likes the game but thinks it would be better if he knew more about the movies as well so we’re working on that. The controllers are ok but I would imagine much more fun when your playing the game with someone. So his overall impression is it’s a really good game but would be better to know the movies so you know you characters. He is looking to get more Lego video games now that he see’s how much fun they are.

I actually bought the game by mistake. Darn you retrolio, but really glad I got it. It was a 2011 christmas present for my 4 year old who absolutly loves Star Wars. It was a little difficult for him to navigate through the levels, but thats when dad comes in. I navigate the levels and then when there is a battle scene I pause it and he fights the storm troopers or the battle droids. He’s getting better at the game he knows how to navigate the levels most of the time unless there is a hidden door or something that might be a little hard for him. The violence level on this game is really minimal. When the characters die they just fall apart, because their legos. The game takes you through all 6 episodes of the Star Wars Saga. You get to do Pod racing, chase after bounty hunters, defeat Anakin as Obi Wan, Battle the Sand people, slay Jabba the Hut, and bring balance to the force by defeating the Empire. I also had a blast playing the game. I dont really do much gameing, but this game was a lot of fun. I can’t count how many times I was playing for my son and he told me ok dad its my turn. I would say that 4 years old might be a little to young to play the game, maybe 6 or 7 would be a better age, but still awesome game. Enjoy!!

My two grandsons are ages 6 and 4 so it is taking them a while to figure out how to get to the different levels in the game but so far they like playing it. I really think this game is for a older child but this is what the 6 year old wanted for his birthday.

My kids and husband love this game. Lots of time on this searching for pieces of minikits (to make a whole minikit –10 in all to find, which then allows you to build a ship). A player can also switch avatars midway through a game to access different strengths. Good investment!

Gameplay is great for a casual gamer and or kids. Puzzles are not overly difficult, you don’t have to worry about dying for the most part and with the complete saga it gives you plenty of play time before you finish it.

The Lego gaming series has become a staple of the family fun gaming world. Lego Star Wars is certainly no exception. The Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga picks up where the first game left off by enabling you to play through all 6 films in the Star Wars double trilogy. The game is great fun and has hours and hours of playability and does a great job of going through the entire (official) Star Wars story in lego-ese (without actually saying any words). With the other parts of the game (collecting lego coins and mini-kits) you could play this game for hours upon hours before reaching 100% completion or if you just want to play through the stories you can just play along with the story line and don’t have to do all of the little things if you don’t want to. The game also introduces various playable characters throughout the story which is a great way to keep the game interesting after all how could you not keep playing until you could be Darth Vader or Boba Fett.My only qualm with the game has to do more with the Wii than anything else. The controls for the game with the nunchuck and wiimote are somewhat awkward and I imagine that they would be easier to use with the typical one controller setup, like the 360 or PS3.All in all though, definitely a fun game and well worth 20 bucks.

I didn’t really want this game, but my husband really wanted it because some people at work had told him how cool it was (we are a pretty young couple). I bought it for him as a gift and it’s totally won me over since we got it. It’s very simple and easy to catch on, however there are all sorts of different levels and lots of different characters with different abilities to keep it interesting. In the levels, there are some areas that only certain characters can unlock, so once you pass game (or just the level) you can go back and replay the levels to unlock those areas and get more stuff. Overall, I say this is a really good game for the whole family.
