There is a reason this received the game of the year. It is fun, fast-paced and great for a large age range. Grandchildren from 5 years through the early teen years love this game. Keeps them entertained. Would buy another version.
I love playing games but what I enjoy most about gaming is having people you enjoy playing games with. I’ve been looking for a good Playstation 3 multi-player game and this is definitely the best one out there right now in my opinion. My wife is not an avid gamer but as a young teenager her and her sisters did play Donkey Kong on the Super Nintendo and she loved it. So when I saw screen shots of this game the side-scrolling action looked like something that would be familiar to her and simple enough to play and that was enough for me to buy the game.The entire concept of the game is quite unlike anything I’ve played. The whole idea of creating costumes, placing stickers, custom levels, makes this game appear more to the female segment than it otherwise might. But at the same time, the endless levels, side-scrolling action, puzzles, and difficult game play will not disappoint a hard-core gamer. The most amazing thing I’ve found about this game is how much of a party game it is in our family.We will get a four-player game going when our family gets together after Sunday dinner and everyone spends about the first 5 minutes customizing their character and then we all start playing a level together. Because there are so many save points throughout levels, even beginners who die quite frequently still stay engaged as their sack person comes back to life at each save point. The blend of creativity, great multi-player functionality, and the ability of this game to hold the attention.

This is a really wonderful game, and the online content and ability to create your own levels makes the opportunities for game play pretty much endless!
My 6 and 10 year old daughters love to play his game together. Takes a little bit to get the hang of it, but they have gotten pretty good at it. They have lots of fun, although they can get frustrated with each other like kids usually do. Overall, they really like to play this game. And they aren’t even kids that love video games.

If you’re looking for a relaxing game to play and chill out after work, this is it. If you’re a more skilled gamer looking for something faster paced and more interesting, this can be it also. I am in awe of how many different games you can get out of just this one; the creativity is amazing. So much fun. I’m a big fan.
It reminds me so much of the thrill that I got as a kid from Mario Bros., but with this game everything that you wished you could do with Mario Bros. you can do with LBP.

LittleBigPlanet is an amazing accomplishment and a groundbreaking platformer that is unlike any other game, period. The level creator is brilliant for those who can fully utilize it, and the unique objects, environments, and stickers sprawled throughout the levels are heartwarming, creative, and original.I have played 19 of the single player levels and the DLC monster level. The controls are great and the physics are very impressive. The incredible graphics make the textures of objects (cardboard, thread, wood, wool etc.) look like their real life counterparts. You will do a lot of running and jumping, and the facts that sackboy “slides” at the end of his “moon gravity” leaps, doesn’t help when you are trying to ace, or not die in a level. If you’re fresh off of a Mario sidescroller, LBP may take some getting used to. Physics and momentum are present, so you must play carefully and jump wisely, unlike Mario.The story levels are filled with so many objects, decorations, stickers, and real-life textures that I’d be willing to call this game modern art. Originality is an understatement. This game DEFINES what original means. Some of the SP levels may be a little boring compared to the PSP version, but MP is encouraged. MP changes the game entirely. Keep in mind that I am not much of a MP gamer. I am kind of old school (although I’m only 18), and I prefer a strong story and/or strong single player experience over online play. I also am not very interested in creating my own level.

I absolutely love this series. So much fun to be had. Even as an adult, I easily find myself engrossed in this game for hours at a time. I highly recommend giving this one a shot. Well worth it’s weight in gold, this game is full of puzzles, strategy, and challenges. All done in a light hearted and fun filled way. A great game for all ages, go and buy yourself a copy now, you won’t be disappointed.

I bought a PS3 more or less just for this game. It can be little frustrating moving in three dimensions in a side-scrolling platformer, but other than that it is a great time for all. The game is simple, the levels are fun (especially some of the user generated content), and the music is great. I would recommend this to any one who loves video games.
