There is a reason this received the game of the year. It is fun, fast-paced and great for a large age range. Grandchildren from 5 years through the early teen years love this game. Keeps them entertained. Would buy another version.
I love playing games but what I enjoy most about gaming is having people you enjoy playing games with. I’ve been looking for a good Playstation 3 multi-player game and this is definitely the best one out there right now in my opinion. My wife is not an avid gamer but as a young teenager her and her sisters did play Donkey Kong on the Super Nintendo and she loved it. So when I saw screen shots of this game the side-scrolling action looked like something that would be familiar to her and simple enough to play and that was enough for me to buy the game.The entire concept of the game is quite unlike anything I’ve played. The whole idea of creating costumes, placing stickers, custom levels, makes this game appear more to the female segment than it otherwise might. But at the same time, the endless levels, side-scrolling action, puzzles, and difficult game play will not disappoint a hard-core gamer. The most amazing thing I’ve found about this game is how much of a party game it is in our family.We will get a four-player game going when our family gets together after Sunday dinner and everyone spends about the first 5 minutes customizing their character and then we all start playing a level together. Because there are so many save points throughout levels, even beginners who die quite frequently still stay engaged as their sack person comes back to life at each save point. The blend of creativity, great multi-player functionality, and the ability of this game to hold the attention.

This is a really wonderful game, and the online content and ability to create your own levels makes the opportunities for game play pretty much endless!
My 6 and 10 year old daughters love to play his game together. Takes a little bit to get the hang of it, but they have gotten pretty good at it. They have lots of fun, although they can get frustrated with each other like kids usually do. Overall, they really like to play this game. And they aren’t even kids that love video games.

If you’re looking for a relaxing game to play and chill out after work, this is it. If you’re a more skilled gamer looking for something faster paced and more interesting, this can be it also. I am in awe of how many different games you can get out of just this one; the creativity is amazing. So much fun. I’m a big fan.
It reminds me so much of the thrill that I got as a kid from Mario Bros., but with this game everything that you wished you could do with Mario Bros. you can do with LBP.

Just got this game and love it already, even though I am somewhat inept at playing most video games. This one isn’t too difficult, encourages creativity, has a look and imagery like no other game I’ve seen. Fun for multi-player too.

First off let me start by saying that I viewed this as a kiddie game and had absolutely no interest in it other than getting something for my daughter to play on my PS3. I’m a fan of blood and gore and sports games. I started playing this game and could not put it down! It is very addictive. Kind of what if the mind’s behind Abe’s Oddworld Odyssey and Coraline had made Super Mario. It is cutesy and kid-friendly, but SO much fun. My daughter had to beg and plead to get the controller back! Don’t be fooled by the looks of it, this game IS NOT just for kids.

A PlayStation 3 classic! A game that should be on every PlayStation 3 owner’s shelf. Even if you aren’t the creative type, the story levels and many already existing levels created by other online are more than worth the money. That plus the extra dlc bundler with the game of the year version make it a must buy.
