My older grandchildren’s "regular" edition game was literally trashed by their younger siblings. They loved this game and I loved to watch them play…the little characters they designed and role-played on the screens were cute, fun, and funny! We all laughed and had hours of fun with the game. This "Game of the Year Edition" version has "extras" that were not on the first disk. They LOVE this version even more!! Everyone is pleasantly pleased.

I just wanted to let folks know the game is as much fun as promised, however, I had reduce the rating due to the install. It took over 3 hours to install this game after the required patches (11 of them!?). I planned on a Friday night playing this game, yet went to bed with it still installing. (I have FIOS fiber optic, Fass-s-s-t)All I could think was… could you imagine if I had kids that were promised they could play and then ended up looking at an install screen for 3+ hours, no doubt there would be trouble.Armed with this heads-up you might want to set the install before leaving for work, cause No One wants to sit there for 3 hours waiting for a game to start.

My husband loves playing this game with our daughter and it’s fun to watch them play. Very fun game!

I wanted something else I could play with the kids and this one totally delivers. I’ve got little kids and I love that the controls are easy enough for them to handle, but the community levels offer a wide range of difficulty, so there’s something we can play together. I haven’t spent much time creating my own levels yet, but I’ve done a number of the tutorials and that seems very powerful as well.I don’t see this game getting old anytime soon.

if your kids are home or coming over with their kids and get bored, this is one to have around for them. not as adult oriented as stated, but great for everyone else!

I bought this game for my little girl who is "7" years old, and she loves it. I am so glad I bought it for her!

  7. MaryBeth Carroll

I love this game for a couple of reasons. One of my favorite parts is the physics of it — the characters and objects move in a very realistic way.I like the personalization, and the cuteness of the characters. They remind me of sock monkeys.I also appreciate that there is no violence or anything in this game — it’s truly appropriate for all ages. I’m an adult, but I don’t always want to be shooting monsters. The levels are challenging enough, and are scored with points and completion percentages, so you know if you left something behind. It’s not easy getting 100% on each level. You’re also ranked against the rest of the world, which is fun, and online play is incredibly convenient.I recommend this title for anyone, of any age. Probably a great game for parents and kids to play together. It requires some problem solving skills, so it’s probably a reasonable learning tool as well as entertainment.

I bought this some time ago when it had just come out in the Game of the Year format at $59.99. Seeing it today down to 29.99… doesn’t matter one bit! It’s simply worth every penny. Between the constant additions of user created levels and new programmer goodies like outfits, stickers, etc., there is always something to draw the gamer in deeper. The only possibly original thing I can add is this–as a longtime Wii owner I bought Animal Crossing: City Folk for my family to have fun with. We were seriously disappointed with the lack of depth available and the obvious lack of creativity in a game essentially cloned from the previous AC iterations. However, buying a PS3 along with LBP was a highly rewarding decision and restores my faith in publishers other than Nintendo. For so long, games have seemed to be pushing towards a hyper-realism bent, it’s nice to have a true fantasy come to life. Where we expected that from AC, we got it from LBP.Of course, not to say that LBP is the only good gaming experience to have come from the PS3 purchase! It’s just one of many in an already growing library. If for some ridiculous reason, you are reading this and are on the fence about buying… get off that fence, and come join us in LBP. You might run into us sometime! Thanks for reading, good gaming to all!

Item as described and it arrived in time.

Little Big Planet is probably the most fun I’ve had in years. The game has numerous levels of difficulty and even when (or if) you make it to the big finish, you still have to opportunity to enjoy areas created by other users. The real challenge will be in finding the time to create my own worlds. Some of the user-created worlds are simplistic while others are incredibly imaginative. The potential for this game is endless. You can play alone or online with friends or online with random people. It really is a great way to unwind and have fun.
