This game is the best puzzle game I have ever played. The fusion of light sound, and music totally bindes me to the screen! I damn near failed my Midterms this week for this game, playing under the covers till the wee Hours of the Night!!!Music is the most important figure in games to me and this game expidentially entices my sense of sound to the maximum levelVIVA LUMINES II !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off the graphics are pretty good, above average and it’s pretty flashy. Different tracks for each level and will waste your minutes like no other task. A simple level took 10-15 mins and it felt only like 2 or 3 so it’s perfect for those minutes you want to waste away.Rarely any lag and loading time is nothing. I have yet to beat the game since it obviously becomes harder and harder. Plus I’m not much of a puzzle person anyways, but picked this up for around 4 bucks on some sale at Toys R Us. I thought they stashed in it in that pile on accident, but whatever, I got it instead of version 1.It’s repetitive for sure and thus the 1 star off. It gets a tad bit annoying, but if you know how puzzles are, then it should be no problem.Great game at a mere $20 and will literally give you HOURS of fun and fire up your brain like no other game.

I adored the original Lumines puzzle game for the PSP. How does Lumines 2 compare with the first one, and how much fun is it to play?First, the basics. In Lumines 2 blocks fall from the sky, just like in Tetris. In this case each block is always 2×2 dots. There are only ever 2 colors. So there are only a few combinations the colors can be in – all the same, in 2 rows, in an L, or kitty-corner. The challenge is to stack them so they form squares of color. They don’t instantly vanish when they do, either. There’s a sweeping line that moves left to right and it’s only when that line passes over the blocks that they vanish. So you can quickly create stacks of color that get you more points. As you play, the color theme changes, the block look and feel changes, and the background music changes. Sometimes you have videos playing in the background. So part of the game’s enjoyment (or annoyance) is how much you enjoy or dislike a given song. For me, that’s part of where Lumines 2 suffers compared with Lumines 1. I just adored the music in the original – but here there are some songs I’m just not fond of. In addition, some of their color combinations are really hard to see.Still, I find myself getting addicted to the game every time I pick it up. I finish one set and want to start up another. There’s a variety of gameplay options. You can do timed challenges where you’re going for the most points. There are puzzles where you try to figure out how to solve a particular problem. There are.

The levels are more challenging and the music is an upgrade over the original iteration. It can obviously become repetitive and it is worth it.

The Game is so addictive it’s hard to put down. At first I found it insanely difficult, because the last puzzle game I really got into was Tetris, and this is a different idea. Maybe at first glance it looks the same as Tetris, but this is a puzzle game that is easy once you get the hang of it, but then to keep the game going and unlock new music videos, there is the real difficulty. Imagine a fun puzzle game with a great soundtrack by several different artists, (although a few songs tend to get old but I just mute the sound when I get to them in challenge mode and delete them for skin mode play.) I have a wireless network in my house and frequently go online with my PSP, but Lumines 2 seemed to have no one playing online in ANY of the lobbies. Now, I don’t know if it is meant to be LAN only or what, I just assumed it was supposed to be wireless net compatible…. since LAN only sucks. So unless you have friends around with a PSP and this game, multiplayer may not be possible. Very addictive game play, great sounds, music is cool especially when you get a lot at once and the electric guitar riffs or whatever sound effect there is for that skin plays. A great experience. I am considering selling this game though as soon as I beat it because I really need Lumines 1 for the firmware downgrade and one Lumines is enough since they are both essentially the same game. (with the exception of the music vids.) If you want a Lumines game and don’t care about the firmware then.

I’m not much of a gamer, but this is even more addictive than its

Much like it’s predecessor Lumines and Lumines Plus, this little puzzle game is highly addictive and game play short enough where a player can get in a few rounds in 10 minutes or so.The concept is simple enough, yet hard to master: 2×2 blocks fall down, Tetris style, where you must rotate and move the blocks inorder to match like colors in 2×2 or larger to clear them out. This action is continuous, and if they pile up too high, or you can’t clear the board fast enough,…gave over.Sound simple? Not really because there are some unique twists to the game: every so often the colors change as does the foreground and background graphics making some visual changes the player needs to be prepared for throughout the game. Also the tempo of the music changes from time to time, thus speeding up and then slowing down the block drops equating in some frantic moments. And I’m not even sure how to describe the time-line sweep as it endlessly marches from left to right, only clearing blocks once the line has swept by.On the positive side, the graphics are really fun, crisp, and colorful. The music is pretty awesome as well, especially if you are a fan of trance/dub/dance type music. It has various modes as well including single play, player vs. CPU, multi-player challenges, specific puzzle challenges and missions (specific puzzles that must be completed in a certain amount of time).A few things that I would have like to have seen incorporated or changed:The tutorial is visual only. Y.

If you never played LUMINES 1 this game is sensational, if you already played the first version well, the second is better; more modes, more challenges, increase in difficulty, and more videos. I ve read some complaints about those new backgrounds that make it hard to play because of the contrast or because of the videos that catch too much your eyes. I believe that make the game more challenging. Afterall, this game is over and over the same as was Tetris, and in order to be a good player your ability of fast reaction and to stay focus will be tested!!!

Time, it just melts away when I play this or the original game. What felt like 10 minutes, becomes 1 to 2 hours gone. It’s great fun; has awesome music and addicting gameplay. Super useful when waiting for an appointment, long transits, or just one really lazy afternoon.
