This game is worth every penny, it is one of the funnest handheld games i’ve played in a long time.> The music in this game is great, it has a cind of techno/dance vibe. Mind you that I lissen the rap and i still liked the music.> The gameplay is also adictive, like a better vertion of tetris. With every stage you reach a new song and color sceam is unlocked.>>This game is simple and adictive is is a perfect addition to your PSP libery. (Pease forgive me if I spelled anything wrong)

Stephen Peterson –
The best game ever released for the PSP it’s better than Tetris

To be honest I bought this game because it is one that facilitates the installation of custom firmware on PSP’s. It turns out it is also a pretty fun game. If you like tetris and things like that, you will surely like this one.

I can’t put this game down. Killer music tracks, hypnotizing backgrounds, and challenging gameplay put this game on my top ten list!

If you belive that this is a clone of the previous Tetris games for the PS systems then you would be dead worng. This game uses clubes in a interesting way to form 2×2 cubes using a series of 4 variant combonations of two colours. The pace is addictingly fast and simple to pick up. The learning curve took about 5 minutes and once you start there is no putting this one down. The PSP, north America, has only been out for a few days but this has already hit classic game status for it.It is rated for all ages and comes with differnt style of play including multiplayer and Vs. modes. The graphics and music can get distracting but you can turn the volume down if you are on a "skin" that is not to your liking. It also not an expensive game for PSP. Get your own — you simply cannot rent this one.

Lumines is a game that you MUST play with the audio on. More than even WipEoutPure, the audio is an integral part of the game and is a tale of why the PSP is perfect for it. It should really be THE pack-in game for the PSP (if there were one). The only thing I think it’s missing is the level of extras and unlockables that WipEout gives us.

This game is both adequately challenging and thoroughly enjoyable, something I would not say about most other puzzle games outside of Tetris. The basic concept is simple enough for children to grasp readily, and yet it allows for strategic thinking and advancement as one gains experience playing. I would have more to say about it, but my wife hardly ever stops playing long enough to let me have a go!

Lumines presents a familiar conundrum to fans of the puzzle genre. Basically, they must get rid of blocks by lining them up strategically. But in Lumines, blocks of like color must be arranged in rectangular shapes, and they are cleared from the screen by a timeline, which intermittently “wipes” the screen. As gamers progress through the game, not only do the blocks begin falling faster, but also the timeline slows down, making it harder to clear out blocks rapidly. “Lumines” is the new creation of Tetsio Mizoguchi. He’s the one responsible for bringing the industry such great puzzle games “REZ” and “Space Channel 5” and even the popular “Meteos” for Nintendo’s DS system. However, his newest creation for Sony’s new handheld system is not just the best of his work, It’s one of the greatest puzzle games to come along in quite some time. Creating a marriage between an amazing visual prowess, dazzling music, and fun and fresh gameplay. “Lumines” prevails in every sense of the word. Blocks fall, as previously mentioned, and it’s up to the player to arrange them into like-colored rectangles of no less than 2×2 units; after setting the pieces in place, they are cleared only after a line which tracks from left to right in time with the music (called the “Timeline”) that passes over them. Afterwards, points are awarded based on the number of these rectangles that are cleared in each pass of said line. While decidedly simple, the game does reward more complex strategies. In challenge.
