I have always been a big fan on puzzle games like this. I played the copy of tetris that came with my original GameBoy. Most kids today couldn’t even imagine playing on a screen like the old B&W GameBoy. For me Tetris is the greatest game ever made. It is still not old after all these years, but Lumines is a very good substitue. One of the best things about this puzzle game is that is has such a large playing field. It’s huge. The music is pretty cool, but not best in game music ever. That would probably be Katamary Damacy. Go out any buy this game now. You won’t regret it.

Lumines is just about the most perfect portable game ever created. It is totally fun, easy to pick up and play, and has great music!! What more could you want for a handheld gaming system?!?My only gripe with the game is, that the only way to get more skins and music, is to play through the ENTIRE game, from first skin to last!! And that takes a lot of time, skill and patience….. other than that, this game is the bomb!!

i just picked this game up yesterday and seriously can’t put it down. i’m a big fan of the PS2 game REZ and when I found out they were responsible for Lumines I had to get it. Didn’t even need to play it first. These guys do such an amazing job mixing music and game play. You find yourself totally immursed in the game, like you’re one with the beats and notes that you make from the game. Your brain starts to run on auto pilot. This game has some intense game play but can also be picked up and put down as desired. I wanted a game that didn’t require a lot of time dedication (even though I’ve played it 4 hours today) and didn’t need me knowing about previous versions (GTA). I just wanted something fun that gave the feeling of “playing”.This game is great. I can’t really give a description that does it justice, but if you like tetris and an encompasing musical experience, give this game a try. I doubt you’ll be dissappointed. Best game for PSP!

When the psp had first come out and everyone was praising Lumines, I wondered how good could this puzzle game really be but after recently buying it, I now totally understand. This is one of those games that completely sucks you in. You will most likely rarely play your other psp games as often because of how addicting Lumines is. After getting a game over you will probably want to keep playing again and again to get a higher score or to unlock new skins. Well, this is easily the killer app for the psp and if you don’t already own it, I highly recommend that you go get this one immediately.

This is a fun addicting game, great for on the go play which the PSP was made for. It isn’t a “Killer App” so to speak, but it’s a great challenge and one of the PSP’s best games.

  6. The Gifted One

When I first got my PSP I had a hard time deciding which game to buy. First I bought Twisted Metal and after about 3 weeks it had gotten boring so I bought Lumines. I had been reading in magazines and on the Internet about how great this game was so I just picked it up. At first it reminded me of Tetris but after playing it a few times I realized that it was something much greater. The gameplay is hard to describe in words. It’s a puzzle game so what more can I say? The game looks great and it has a great soundtrack. I sometimes find myself popping this game in the PSP and end up playing for almost an hour nonstop. I’ve had it for almost 6 months now and I still play it more than any of my other PSP games (Even GTA: LCS). If you’re looking to purchase a PSP but can’t decide which game to buy, Lumines is a great place to start.

I do prefer Tetris over this game, but it is fun and somewhat addictive. There are several different modes that you can play which helps. After playing the normal style of play, you get highscores that take an hour to beat and that gets a bit old. That’s when I had to start trying the other timed challenges so that I wouldn’t have to play 60 minutes to feel like I might get into the high score list again. It’s a game that you can take anywhere to play. Play one game and put it down..which is nice as you don’t have to remember where you were and what you were doing to pick it right up again.Overall, a fun game and worth a discounted price.
