    The game is great but the loading times are terrible plus some times it freezes.

    well i like this game allot. i do agree with the comments below. so i wont restate any of them. but i gotta say, what more can u expect form a handlheld system. Im impressed for the most part. loading times seem long on most good games, so i dont think there is much way around that now. but overall, its madden. its great game. you got a ps2 then use it there, of course a real controller and big tv, and more powerful system will give u a much better gaming expiernece. enjoy!

    Madden is everywhere. You can play EA Sports’ workhorse series on almost any console dating back to the Super Nintendo. This year, there isn’t a leading console–home or handheld–that hasn’t gotten the Madden touch. Whether you think this is a good thing or not, it’s completely possible for pigskin to be played anywhere and with anything, and EA Sports stretched out their console flexibility by bringing Madden NFL 2006 handheld to the Playstation Portable. With this, they’ve given gamers a look at what handheld football SHOULD be–but they’ve sacrificed a little bit in the process and backpeddeled a bit.Madden NFL 2006 on the PSP doesn’t play much like its console brethren. In fact, EA sacked “QB Vision,” which is the biggest new draw to the series on home consoles. I’m not sure if I’m disappointed by this or not, because QB Vision was a pretty worthless system in my eyes anyway. They also removed the momentum feeling from running the ball. Over the last few years, players didn’t zig and zag around the field without losing speed to perform spins and jukes. In Madden PSP, however, this outdated zigzag mechanic is intact. With these two comments, I’m actually not displeased at all. In fact, I think EA made this PSP football game more fun and unpredictable than its console siblings. It’s not as realistic in any way, but it’s fun and that’s what counts. Passing the ball is fun, even without a stupid cone of vision. Running is a twitchy delight because of the zigzagging.The only.

    This Is One Of The Best Games, For The PlayStation Portable That I Have Experienced No Complaints Here;

    Received in timely fashion. Game was still in wrapper. Could almost still smell the pain of that 2006 eagles season. 10/10

    Madden Football 2006, well, you might want to get it on PS2. Sure, this is a good football game for a handheld but it is much better on a TV. For one thing, you cannot challenge plays, I hate that. The graphics are pretty good and it will entertain you when your not near a TV. Pretty good buy.

    This game is amazing i could not stop playing everything is great but having to worry about the system crashing but other than that you will love playing this game i actually prefer it to playing on my other consoles

    I found this game to be quite fun. It is a somewhat buggy game but don’t blame EA for this. The reason that this game sometimes shuts down is there is no fan for the PSP, and when there is too much heat the system shuts off. Anyways, on to the review.I am a huge Madden fan, and this game makes me feel right at home. There is a really advanced online system, including skill level, record, and it also shows if your oppenents have a habit of disconnecting games. There is also a full franchise mode. This is also very similar to the consoles, including roster changes, depth, and even the training camps. The only things gone are the Tony Bruno show and owner mode. Also, if you have a franchise for Madden 2006 on PS2, you can transfer your franchise from your PS2 to your PSP, although I have not tried. However, you can’t do it the other way, meaning that you can’t put your progress that you made on your PSP back onto your PS2. One big loss from the console versions is no second analog stick so gone is the famous truck stick from this years console edition. Despite all of this, they still managed to put in playmaker. A second thing they didn’t include is the vision passing cone, but they still have the new precision passing.In conclusion, this is a great game with excellent graphics. If you can stand the somewhat long pauses and load times in this game you will have a lot of fun with it.

    I think some people do not realize that the PSP is a portable device, and therefore, it’s not going to have as much conect as a current-gen console due to hardware limitations (unless someone wanted to pay a lot more than $300 or so for a portable “console” like the PSP).This game is fun, keeps you entertained, and is rather easy to pickup, especially if you have played football games before.Ever since I was a kid, I have been playing Madden, my favorite Madden game “back in the day” was Madden on the Sega Genesis (“Seeeeeeeeggggggggggaaaaaaaaaa”).This game does a good job. However, I have noticed a few weird things. Like sometimes you’ll be beating a team by a rather large margin, then all of a sudden the computer AI turns into a genius and makes the game a closer game. I think it’s sorta like the “catch up” option featured in a lot of racing games.Overall, a good game if you realize this is for a handheld, and not a console.
