This game rocks. Much better than the first. Seems to be a little easy for me, but its fine. Lots of unlockable items and characters. Plenty of re-playability and your stats for your characters roll over into a new game “improved upon the original”. Its a little pricey to buy full price for, but I’m a Marvel fanatic, so it was worth every penny for me and my son.

I know I am late on this, but I had the first one on PC and the control button assignments kept me from finishing the game( I had the PC XBox 360 control). So when the next chapter came out, I was determined to get it on the console. The game is more or less the same as the first one and plays roughly the same. It is not a mind-blowing game, but something you want to play regardless – especially if you like Marvel (I may not like it as much anymore since Disney bought them)! The graphics have marginally improved but their are more things to pick up, throw and destroy than in the first. The one difference between the console and the PC is, the 360 is in 720P and does not look that great on a 1080P set. The PC has higher resolutions/better video cards so the graphics end up looking better. All in all, a good game to pass the time. For the next one, I expect more innovation and better control over changing direction or looking around while on a stage.

Originally, I had posted a review about this game about a month ago, talking about how disappointed I was in it because Activision had removed the downloadable content for it, which was basically an add-on that added five new characters to the game: Carnage, Black Panther, Magneto, Psylocke, and Cable. I still had given the game’s fun factor a high rating because even without the DLC, the game was just plain fun, the way a video game should be. Despite this however, I was still sorely disappointing that Activision had removed the DLC from Xbox Live and PSN, giving very little time or warning that was going to happen. As I read different forums I found I was not alone in my disappointment, with many being down right angry with Activision, feeling as though they “screwed the fans”, myself being one of them. Ya I know, its just a game and the game still kicks butt without the DLC, but for those of us who really wanted to experiencing the game in its all, we would not be able too. Not only that, but there are certain achievements in the game which became unobtainable unless you had the extra characters, another factor which was disappointing and made the game seemingly incomplete for many. I even voiced my opinion to Activision and expressed my disappointment with them in this move, but was only told that they most likely will never re-post the DLC for this game and it was gone for good. This all came to an end however on July 1st, when I just randomly signed into one of the gam.

Sure there are some things that could be better, there always are, but for those of us who grew up with these characters any failings are overlooked for the fun of putting together a dream team of heroes and villians.

I didn’t think I would love this game like the first MUA. To my surprise I ended up loving it more!
