While clearly not perfect there is a magic to these games for anyone who loves RPGs, sci-fi themed entertainment, or space opera stories. There is however significant differences between the first second and third game. Some may of the changes and others won’t. The first game was a hardcore RPG at it’s heart. The second and third game are more mainstream by comparison. However the quality of each game is undeniable in my opinion.

Mass Effect is an amazing series. I don’t really like shooting games much, but this one has so much story, and so many story decisions to make that effect the events of the game, that I couldn’t stop playing it.

The Mass Effect Trilogy is quite simply one of the best collections of games out there, bar none. You are Commander Shepard, a soldier of the Systems Alliance who uncovers a dangerous secret that threatens the safety of the entire galaxy and it’s up to Shepard and his/her crew to figure out a way to end the threat. The game’s story is an extremely important aspect of the series, so nothing further about it will be revealed in order to avoid spoilers. Rest assured though that the Mass Effect universe is deep, intricate, and fully realized, and as you uncover more about the different alien cultures and enemies you encounter, your in-game encyclopedia will add more background information to be viewed at your leisure. Furthermore, how the story unfolds depends on the myriad choices the player has Shepard make throughout his/her journey. Everything from Shepard’s gender, appearance, character class, dialogue options, and how he/she chooses to deal with friends and enemies are up to the player, and many of these decisions will have lasting impacts on future missions, both positive and negative. Certain decisions in the first Mass Effect may not see any resolutions until well into Mass Effect 3. The range of these decisions is staggering. Shepard will be dealing with hostage situations, search and destroy missions, rescue missions, etc., and in many of these situations the player will be faced with moral choices which can range from the selfless Paragon all the way to the opposite e.

14 APR 15: Already beat the first one, but currently replaying it and taking the time to get 100% completion and play out some scenarios differently. The plot rushed me through the first time and I felt like I was racing against time. Also, I’m enjoying earning trophies for different achievements.19 MAY 15: I’m playing the second one. The graphics, missions, and story are all a lot better than the first one. The buildings that you navigate during the missions are no longer cookie cutter designs. Overall, just about every aspect has improved. I’m looking forward to seeing what Mass Effect 3 has to offer!

Arrived on time and better than described. I would buy again from this shop. As for the game, I haven’t played it much yet but its regarded as one of the top scifi rpg trilogys of the last decade. One year after my intial purchase and I have finally played all three games. Mass Effect 1 is a bit dated graphically and play wise but still a good game. The first six hours are a bit slow as you walk around a huge space station called the Citadel and have a lot of conversations. You also have to figure out how to navigate game menus and upgrade your weapons. Learning to maneuver in the ATV called the Mako, as well as use it in battle, was a bit of a chore but I really had the hang of it by the end. About half way through the game really takes off. You also have the option to romance your crew members, some of whom are aliens. It took me 33.5 hrs to finish including close to one hour to defeat Sovreign, the final boss. It was good enough to make me want to play the second game.Mass Effect 2 is wall to wall third person shooter action. It comes out fast and mostly stays fast. It improves every thing about the first game which was already good. Some of the decisions you made playing the first game will impact the second. In essence some characters may or may not be there based on how you played ME1. I spent 38 hours playing ME2Mass Effect 3 is I believe the best of the three. It combines the best parts of 1 and 2 and improves on both graphically. Even though the auto save feature wor.

These are fantastic games – I’ve been hooked since I received them about a month ago and haven’t stopped playing! The storyline and universe are intriguing, and the gameplay and graphics improve over time (I’m currently in ME2). If you enjoy choose-your-own-adventure stories with consequences, space, and shooters, this game is definitely for you!

I have played every single Mass Effect game at some point in time, and when I saw this, I thought it would be fun to return to the adventure, and play again through all three games now that I know how my decisions will effect things. If you are new to Mass Effect, it is a true adventure like never before. A beautiful blend of roleplay, action, exploration, and a multitude of decisions that have effects across all three games. Things you do in the first game will have effects all the way into the third game. Sometimes it will be a simple news report, or an email sent to you, other times it will effect how characters act toward you, or if the character is even alive. If you are a veteran to Mass Effect looking to run though it again, this is a great find, except the DLC is weird for it in my opinion. The first Mass Effect has Bring Down the Sky, the second has the two extra characters and a couple missions, but not The Arrival or really any weapon or armor DLC and the third Mass Effect only has the multi-player and the extended endings, no other DLC.Over all though it was fun to see the familiar faces and save the galaxy once again. So new or old to the game series, I would definitely say pick it up if you have some extra money laying around.

I can’t say enough good things about these games. To put it in perspective, the games get you so immersed, so involved that by the third game when I personally had a character die permanently I began to cry. That is absolutely pathetic to cry over a video game character but I did. These games are perfect, the first one might be hard to get into but stick with it and I promise you’ll love these games.

I’ve played the ME trilogy multiple times. Sure, I was dissapointed in the ME3 ending, but it doesn’t ruin what is probably one of the best produced, and most fun to play games of this hardware generation. Don’t let a controversial ending keep you from playing this series. The story of ME1 can rival that of many sci-fi movies, the gameplay is great if you like old school RPG’s. ME2 is a fantastic blend of FPS and RPG. This is one of the few games that gets that blend right. ME3 builds upon the system that that ME2 created, improving the skill tree so that you can make your Shepherd (and companions) unique from other builds. Trust me, the hours of fun you get out of this is well worth it.Also note that you get pretty much all the DLC for ME1 and ME2 (everything except Pinnacle station for ME1 which was okay at best anyway). This also comes on BLU-Ray discs for the PS3 so no annoying switching out discs all the time (like on the xbox version)

I always considered myself more of action/adventure and fantasy fan. Growing up, I was not very interested in Sci Fi franchises such as Star Wars, Star Trek, etc. Yes, I knew Star Wars, and yes, I did watch all movies and enjoyed them, but I preferred series such as Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones a lot more.Until I played the Mass Effect trilogy. Not to give away any spoilers, the premise of the Mass Trilogy is a combination of most Sci Fi worlds out there. You have us, humans, who discover that we are not the only ones in the universe and that there is a big galactic universe made up of other alien species, as well a governing entity that rules over the galactic community. You play as Commander Shepard (either male of female) as you go through becoming a commander, commanding your own ship, discovering different worlds and planets all around the galaxy, building relationships with members of different races, you make decisions that have consequences, all of that as you prepare your self to fight and survive the eminent attack of an alien race called the Reapers. The game gets you very involved in the story, setting, characters and all. The series made me appreciate Sci-Fi and I started eagerly watching Sci Fi series such as Battlestar Galactica, Stargate and I am about to start watching Star Trek. More over, I am more excited about the next game, Mass Effect Andromeda, a lot more than the new Tomb Raider game.
