Excellent game and awesome graphics
This is the rebuild of the old Medievil PS1 game (1999 version) with a much better graphic quality. It took me back to old good days I was playing Medievil. Very few details have changed which is unnoticeable for someone who didnt play the original games several times.Even though it is more than 95% the same, I still enjoy playing it after 20 years.
Game was as good as to be expected. I’m writing this review based more so on the shipping and handling of retrolio. It was a good price, and accurate description. And I received it in very good condition and I think a day sooner than they planned so all-in-all it was a very good purchase.
The original game had always been in my all time top 10 favorite games. I played this many, many, many hours as a teenager. It had definitely stood the test of time. Updated graphics are great. It had an added difficulty level in some places. Yet its still just as I remember. For those of us hardcore fans it’s an easy platinum within 24 hours of starting. It you’re new to the game, I’m sure it will take a lot longer. Either way it’s more than worth the money, especially for the bargain price of only $30 (the original was $50 new on ps1).I wish that some of the trophies were a little harder to get. Maybe a speed trophy for beating the game under 8 hours or so? Or going thru without dying/game over would be cool.The lost souls that are new to this game are an excellent addition. I just wish they had added some other extra side missions or minigames. Just to have an excuse to keep playing it.

I really enjoy the remake of Medievil, the graphics are beautiful, the voices are all the same, gameplay is great, love the colors in the game, I really love the final boss, everything in this game is amazing. This game deserves more love. I do always love the original ps1 too but anyway, I really hope we get Medievil 2 remake on ps4 and action figures of Sir Dan. 10/10 for this game!! :)

Medievil may not have been a particularly groundbreaking game when it initially released, but it is one that I remember fondly because it is one of the first games I got for my PlayStation 1 many years ago. Medievil is a rather simplistic hack and slash game separated into short levels sometimes with a boss fight at the end of each one. The game is rendered in 4K (if you’re playing on PS4 Pro) and it’s looks stunning. The colors is rich and vibrant. The framerate is very smooth and music and sound design are great. The only issue I’ve had is with the camera which is slow to turn and sometimes gets stuck in the environment which can lead to you taking damage from enemies you may not be able to see. However the levels are rather short and even if you die, you won’t feel like you lost too much progress.This is definitely the best way to experience this game and I highly recommend any PlayStation fans to pick this up.
I’ve waited many, many years for this remake and it hasn’t disappointed!
This is a really great game if you played the original and liked it this is a game to remember the good old days being someone how played it as a kid I loved it but I don’t think you will if you never played it it’s more or less point a to b game and kind of short maps

Those game is so fun. It takes me back to that Pizza Hut demo disc that used to come with pizza but completely redesigned. *SPOILER* For those of you that don’t know, they added these extra collectible-type things called “Lost Souls” and if you collect them all, it actually unlocks the original and playable PS1 version which is super nostalgic. Old graphics and everything. Highly recommend. It’s also an easy Platinum if you trophy hunt.

I loved this game when it first came out and I played the demo of this remake and its amazing. The only thing is that when i got it the package was open, the game was brand new but the cd was loose inside, luckily it wasn’t scratched.

Good update and version to an older game. Graphics are good with vibrant colors and sound. Gameplay is a bit difficult, especially for kids. Does require some skill and patience to figure out some of the puzzles and tricky areas to get passed.Overall, not bad.
