Good unit but better joystick instructions needed also some good clear instructions on how to add more games would be very help full. with out the internet I would have been lost, I would have given five star if the above was done.

Great game system with easy to use controllers and easy set up. Wireless game play is pretty smooth and it looks and feels like the original. My main complaint is that the ultimate version did not offer or come with the paddles. You can buy a lesser version that has them but is missing a few great games. It made me choose and either way I lost out. Could have been planned better. I don’t see myself buying another one in any format in the future.

On the whole, I like the unit and am happy with my purchase. This review will concentrate on why I ‘took away’ a star, i.e. gave this only 4 out of 5 stars.- Wireless joystick reliability is very good but not ‘perfect’: The response time is the same as wired controllers (I tested both), which I was very happy to see. The issue is with wireless reliability: it’s close to, but not quite 100% effective. I would periodically ‘lose a life’ when the joystick didn’t respond to my command. It happens infrequently, but often enough to notice.- Wireless joysticks are not interchangeable: With wired controllers, when one wears out the solution is simple – plug in a different one. Unfortunately, the two wireless joysticks that come with the Atari FB 9 Gold are not interchangeable. ‘Joystick 1’ has the buttons to select a game from the main menu, choose the ‘easy/medium/hard’ game number, start/re-start the game, return to the main menu, etc. What it DOESN’T have is a “make me joystick 1 / make me joystick 2” selection, i.e. it’s permanently ‘Joystick 1’. ‘Joystick 2’ doesn’t have buttons, i.e. it’s permanently ‘Joystick 2’. Which joystick will suffer the most wear-and-tear? Obviously ‘Joystick 1’ So, if/when ‘Joystick 1’ wears out you can’t simply say “no problem, let’s make what was ‘Joystick 2’ be ‘Joystick 1′”. Instead, you.

O Atari é muito legal, pena que não vem com Pacman. Veio um primeiro com defeito, mas conversei com o vendedor que foi muito atencioso e se prontificou a trocar por outro novo, o que foi feito. Agora o produto funciona adequadamente.
